Wishing all Little Saplings Family’s, Carers & Volunteers a Very Merry Christmas.
I know it’s been a strange year of ups and downs, highs and lows, rules and restrictions & constant changes, but us all and our little people have adapted & changed, worn masks, washed hands, stayed home & forgone interaction a lot of the time. We are all missing the normal.
But we have to be proud of the achievements, the way we’ve adapted, the support networks that have blossomed, the children taking it all in their stride (even if sometimes you have a million why questions!)
Take the small positives on the hard days and know that there’s always somewhere to turn to.
As always Little Saplings Inbox is open and we will help as much as we can, if we can’t we will help point you in the right direction. I know we have to be in our own household bubbles but we are most definitely not alone. Please reach out if you need us.
We have no idea when normal may resume, so please keep and eye on the page.
We are missing you all! We hope your Christmas is one to remember, although we may not have every family member at the table this year.
Keep safe, Enjoy & Merry Christmas from All at Little Saplings, Rebecca, Heather, Lauren, Gemma, Vicky & Sam. 🎄☃️❄️🤶🎅🧝♀️🧝♂️🎁

Hi everyone, I hope your all doing okay as we are all still weathering this Covid 19 storm. Just an update from Little Saplings point of view we will not look at re opening this year sadly. As much as we would like too a lot needs to happen behind the scenes, to make sure we are able to welcome you and your children back safely. That being said we are hoping to re launch and re start Little Saplings in January. We will no longer be hosting our Monday sessions in Honilands as unfortunately they can no longer accommodate us. But our existing Friday sessions at The Space are what we are aiming to get re started. That being said as Covid has brought many changes and challenges to us all, we will also have to follow government guidelines, rules and regulations so we have to take this into account and warn you as much as we would like to be open again in January, we really do not know what the future holds. So please do keep an eye on our page for further announcements. Thank you with love from all the Little Saplings Volunteers.

Indoor Easter Egg Hunt - free printables!
Who's up for an indoor Easter Egg Hunt?! Sadly now they are teenagers, taller than me...

Morning all another Monday stuck at home, hope your all doing okay. Many of you probably don’t know I have a medical background myself and I actually wanted to share this poster that the NHS has produced, sadly with our current sittuation, many of us are avoiding seeking help with the everyday health issues that we may have done before hand. Dr Ranj shared this handy guide for parent added below, please if your kids are poorly don’t be afraid to get help, having worked in a children’s hospital I know kids can be fine one moment and rapidly go down hill. Keep safe and well, Rebecca x

Following my last post about the page to join for ideas and tips these toddler timetables were posted today and they offer some brilliant ideas and structure that may help keep the little ones entertained. They reference the 30 day Lego challenge I added last week and should be in one of the albums if you need it. There also a great list of live web camera site so you can log on and watch zoos and other places! Keep safe, keep well all X

📢 Little Saplings Parents and Carers, As you are all aware we have been following the corona virus updates closely. The uk government have now advised that all non essential clubs and non essential social contact should be avoided. That being said all Little Saplings Stay and Play Sessions at both Honilands and The Space Enfield are cancelled until further notice. Please check the page and we will update you as soon as we are able to open again. Thank you all again for your continued support especially at this difficult time that we are all facing. Wishing you and your family’s well, stay safe. With best wishes from all of the volunteers at Little Saplings.
16/03/2020
📢This mornings Honilands session has now closed. ⛔️
Due to low attendance we have decided to close early to enable us to start a deep clean of the regularly used toys. 🧼🧹🧽
Thank you to the volunteers who will be cleaning to ensure that we can keep the children who use our facilities as safe as possible.
Please do keep checking our page, we currently are aiming to hold a session on Friday but considering we’re all in a very unpredictable situation as volunteers we are also taking things day by day.
Thank you to the parents and carers for your continued support.
All at Little Saplings 🌳

📢 Post on behalf of the Health Visitors at the well baby clinic run from Honilands Children’s Centre, this afternoons weighing session has been cancelled. All Well baby Clinics at Honilands have been cancelled until further notice. If you were due to see the health visiting team or have any concerns please contact them directly. We have no direct links with the health visiting team other than sharing a building with them so unfortunately we can not be of any help with this matter, we are just sharing as we know a few of our parent use this facility.
16/03/2020
Myself, Gemma and the rest of the volunteers would like to announce that Little Saplings Stay and Play is currently remaining open.
Please do keep an eye on our page for updates, we are closely following the guidelines of the government, if we do cancel session it will be posted on our page.
As always hygiene is very important, we would like to assure you that we have antibacterial soap available for use during hand washing. Hand washing will also be offered upon arrival in addition to snack time.
To reduce the risk of spreading corona virus we will be serving the children's snack & drinks on disposable cups and plates for the time being. We are also looking into getting disposable cups for adult hot drinks. We are hoping to have this in place by Friday's session.
We will continue to look into ways that we can further reduce the risk to all who attend Little Saplings Stay & Play.
Thank you from all of the Little Saplings Volunteers.

If any Little Saplings Stay and Play parents or carers are finding it difficult to explain the current virus situation to their children this is a useful resource.
