Happy International Space Day 🚀👩‍🚀🧑‍🚀

Today, Adventurers celebrate International Space Day with learning about Solar systems. Children are provided a tuff tray with 9 planets in different colour representing their living conditions. We talk about living conditions in each planets, and our planet called the earth. All planets rotate around the sun in the orbit. Children enjoy taking part in the activities and naming planets after practitioner. Some children like to feel the textures of the planets as it made from colour ices while others interested in feeding the animals by filling the bow with ices, flour and weetabix. In general, children did an amazing job and had lots of fun.

Activity: Making Easter Cards 🐣

This week the children enjoyed making their very own Easter cards using a variety of resources. The practitioners demonstrated how to make an Easter card by showing them each step. Once the children saw they got very excited and started to make their own cards.

🔴 Comic Relief Week 🔴

Over the last two days our children have been taking part in a variety of red activities and making their very own Red Nose Day T-Shirts.

Thank you for the lovely donations so far we have raised a total amount of £ 208.40

🔴 Comic Relief Sports Day Event 🔴

Our children took part in a sport day activity, decorating their own red noses and red activities today. All the children enjoyed having a little bike race 🚴‍♀️🚴🥇, jumping sacks, ring stack, singing and dancing and parachute games.

Thank you to everyone that took part in the sports day activity and donating £1 , lots more fun activities coming up in the next few days.

Happy National Women's day/Mother's Stay & Play at monkey Puzzle Enfield Part 2 ❤

On Friday 8th March we celebrated all the women's at Monkey Puzzle Enfield for a stay and play session with their loved ones. We had a variety of families such as Mothers, Aunties, grandmothers, daughters, sisters and many more.

We all took part in a variety of activities, making special cards and providing a little tea party for everyone to enjoy.

Happy National Women's day/Mother's Stay & Play at monkey Puzzle Enfield Part 1 ❤

On Friday 8th March we celebrated all the women's at Monkey Puzzle Enfield for a stay and play session with their loved ones. We had a variety of families such as Mothers, Aunties, grandmothers, daughters, sisters and many more.

We all took part in a variety of activities, making special cards and providing a little tea party for everyone to enjoy.

World Book Day ! 📚

Happy World Book Day from Adventurers!

It’s World’s Book Day today and our Adventurers are dressed up so beautifully wearing their chosen outfit from a book character and they brought their favourite books 📕 from home to share with their peers. We also set an activity exploring lots of different fruits .Then we played Gruffolo dominoes and we set up an activity from the Dear Zoo book with puppets!

Tomorrow will be sending out both Baby room and preschool world book day costumes and activities ❤

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤

Today, we celebrated Valentine’s Day with fun and learnt about What is Valentine’s Day and how we celebrate it. We talked about Valentine’s Day history, food, gift, activities and ways to give the love messages to our parents and peers.

The children loved the idea of giving chocolate to friends and go to restaurants with parents on Valentines Day. Some of them pretending to order from the menu, eating chocolates while others enjoying to taste oranges. The children gave each other hugs and cuddles to show that they care for each other. All the children did an amazing job and had so much fun.

This week, Inventors have been creating their own prints for their loved ones, the children drew on the paper someone special to them and printed hand prints on the other side with red and pink paint. The practitioner supported some of the children with cutting around the heart shape. The children enjoyed doing the activity and talked about their loved ones, this supported the children with expressing themselves and expressive arts and design.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone From Our Toddler Room and Preschool Room 🎈🎈🎈

💐🩷 Making Love heart flowers for our families 🩷💐

Today the explorers joined in an activity creating their very own love heart flowers. The explorers used PVA glue and glitter, some of the children used the glue stick to spread the glue, some of the children used their fingers to pick up some glitter and sprinkled it onto their hearts. Some key words we used were; flowers, pink, red, heart and leaf.

Happy Valentine’s Cards ❤️❤️🥰

Today our little Explorers took part in making Valentine’s Day cards for the parents. The explorers picked out which heart they wanted to decorate and got ready to stick all the glitter and gems to the hearts. We talked about Valentine’s Day and who the cards were for. We used words like Valentines, Red,Hearts, the children even repeated some words.

Making pancakes (Pancake Day)🥞

Today we made delicious pancakes with our children for Pancake Day. They enjoyed mixed all our ingredients together from flour, eggs, milk and many more. Once all the mixture is mixed they were able to pour their pancakes onto the slower cooker with adult supervision.

For toppings the children choose which fruits they wanted such as bananas and strawberries as well as golden syrup. The children enjoyed cutting their fruits into small pieces using the children knifes with the support and encouragement from their practitioners.

Happy Chinese New Year Love Monkey Puzzle Enfield ❤️

Chinese new year 🧧

For this activity we have red, green and yellow coloured rice with gold glitter, wooden skewers used as chop sticks and coloured lolly sticks.

During the activity explorers used the wooden skewers and coloured lolly sticks to move and mix the coloured rice together. Explorers also used their hands to mix the rice together, feeling the texture. Practitioners demonstrated how to use the chops sticks and some explorers put them between their fingers and attempted to pick up the rice. We spoke about the colours we could see, such as, red, green, yellow and gold, some explorers repeated the colour names, red, green and gold.

🇨🇳🧧🥠🪭 Chinese New Year Fans 🪭🥠🧧🇨🇳

Today the explorers participated in an activity creating Chinese New Year fans. We used paper plates cut in half, red and yellow paint and red wooden lolly sticks. The explorers chose independently which colour they wanted to use first and second by pointing to the colour. Some of the children said the colour names. The explorers were able to hold the paint brush and make marks on their fans some used a dabbing motion and some used an up and down motion to create their fans.

This year we are welcoming the year of the dragon for Chinese New Year. In celebration of this toddlers explored and learnt about Chinese traditions and culture. They used tongs to put the noodles into their bowls and then they used chopsticks to feed the babies. Toddlers used their senses to feel different textures of the food such as the sweet peppers, oranges and limes. Toddlers also ate some watermelon and gave their babies some too. They learned new words like chopsticks, sweet peppers, lantern and dragon.This activity allows children to develop different skills and understand how some cutleries like chopsticks and tongs are used.

National send a Card to a Friend Day is celebrated on 7th February.

Send a Card to a Friend Day is a special occasion dedicated to reconnecting with friends through the simple act of sending a heartfelt card. It’s a day to express gratitude, share warm wishes, or simply let friends know they are cherished and remembered.

Emoji Plates 😍😂🥲

Children’s mental health awareness week 💚

This afternoon some of our explorers took part in emoji plate making in aid of children’s mental health awareness week. The children each had the chance to pick a feeling plate that they would like to recreate , the children had the option of plate 1 which was happy , two which was love and three which was sad , some of the children said two and one when picking their plate. The children each then took cut out pieces of a face which correlated with their chosen feeling and stuck the face piece down on their yellow emoji. The children used fine motor skills to apply glue to the paper and push them down onto the plate. The children also said words such as , happy and sad! Overall the children really enjoyed taking part in this activity and learning about emotions😁😍😂🥲😘

Children Mental Health Week

Let's connect and support children expressing their emotions daily.

Today our children took part in a variety of activities on how they express their emotions. They expressed through messy activities, arts and crafts and through fine motor skills.

As a group we discussed our emotions and about our health during our come together time. Most of the children expressed their feeling through their facial expression e.g sad, happy, angry, excited etc and others using makaton signs which was lovely to see.
