Yesterday we looked at Abnehman (cut around) and Absetzen (setting aside) through the lens of Zornhaw Ort and responding to a threatening Oberhaw.

We welcomed our recent beginners into the main group who got a taste of he effective these techniques can be.

We had a fantastic session filled with melee games ran by coventrylongpoints lead instructor Matt. Lots of different weapon sets and win goals and elements to tire our students out on a Thursday evening.

Our students loved the session and we managed to finish the beginners course early on a tight schedule as we’re back in the main hall next week.

When we’re back in the sports hall we’ll be running another beginners course win is live on our eventbrite.

It’s exam time again, so we’re downstairs in the main hall.

Access should be through the main doors rather than the side entrance we use for the sports hall.

As a gift for becoming Scholars at Longpoint each student is given a Scholar patch and wristband to denote their achievements.

Hopefully you will see the patches on their jackets accompanied by a Leicester Longpoint patch at events in future!

Our main focus is Ringeck (with some Danzig) Longsword which is what their Scholar Award was on, so what better than having a little photoshoot with the fantastic Pieces of Ringeck book.
