Our setting aims to:

provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age. work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop. add to life and well-being of the local community. offer children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity
Learning through play

Play helps young children to learn and develop through doing and

talking, which research has shown to be the means by which young children learn to think. Our setting uses the Early Years Foundation Stage Development Matters guidance to plan and provide a range of play activities which help children to make progress in each of the areas of learning and development. In some of these activities children decide how they will use the activity and, in others, an adult takes the lead in helping the children to take part in the activity. We aim to provide for the characteristics of effective learning by observing how a child is learning and being clear about what we can do and provide in order to support each child to remain an effective and motivated learner.

We have had a fantastic time up at The Millenium Green where our children and families did a sponsored walk.
They got a sticker for every lap completed then after 6 laps🥵, a well deserved , medal and a refreshing ice lolly. Thankyou to all our families who attended this event.🏅🏅🏅🏅

🦋🦋🦋🦋Update🦋🦋🦋🦋
We have been lucky enough to hatch out a butterfly from our caterpillars...We have had just the one success story and we released it today with the children.
They have seen it change from a tiny caterpillar1🐛, getting bigger, turning into a cocoon and then turning into a beautiful butterfly. All part of our transition and change learning. We took the butterfly outside, offered it a strawberry, a flower, some sugary water on some tissue, but it feasted on some clover to get its strength up.
We close for the summer break on the 17th July and return on Wednesday 2nd September
We do have some availability if you are looking for childcare.

We are studying the book "Superworm🪱" at the moment, and looking at different types of mini beasts. Our older children are having a visit to Emley First School to do a bug hunt!🐌🦋🐛🐜🐝🪲🐞🦗🕷 as part of their transition.Also we are looking at change...how the children have grown and we are looking at how caterpillars change into butterflies.We are able to show the children this change visibly by having our own caterpillars!
👀 Looking forward to September we do have some availability for high quality, term time childcare from 2 years old to school age ..
