Mellymade Designs Mellymade Designs is an independent art studio creating one-off mixed media art pieces, kits, wooden blocks and hand dyed textiles. Exciting!

We teach lots of workshops too! I have been sewing for 40 years or more and have gained valuable experience along the way. As my name suggest,s I design and create many different things and am always learning more. I have been given a gift and I love sharing it with like minded people. I now teach classes and workshops mainly on patchwork and quilting. I am also learning new techniques in textile

art which is opening many new doors. so come an join me on a wonderful sewing adventure I guarantee you will have fun.

Earlier this year Alex and I were fortunate enough to travel once more with Aahilya Holidays - this time to Kerala . The tour company could not have worked hard enough to ensure we were all so looked after - each day is filled with another memorable experience - and craft and culture covered in equal measure . We met some fabulous ladies and a few of them are coming on our next adventure too ! This time our destination is Istanbul , Turkey - February 2027. Today we have been to St Michael’s Mount and Lands End. Beautiful scenery, gorgeous sunshine and the best company. Thank you Fabien and Mai. It was lovely to have my Bro with us too.

Best day yesterday. I visited my old home and was invited inside. This was so wonderful and bought back some happy memories. A big thank you to Vose Farm Cottages, Tregony, Cornwall for welcoming me in. You were both so lovely.
We then went to Mevagissey which was another place I used to live when I was 6 years old. It still holds the magic for me. Just glorious and all even better as I got to share it with my son, Fabien Missin and Mai. We also visited the The Lost Gardens of Heligan... where Steve Backshawl (Deadliest Sixty) was talking. Oh what a brilliant day. Thank you Fabes and Mai. ###

This is what makes my little job so worth while… these beautiful pieces have been created in my workshop classes by the very talented Sue Cogan. Such glorious work, vibrant colours and fabulous stitching.

A massive thank you to all of you who have showed your support and visited my stand E33 at FOQ this year. It was lovely to speak to you all. I am sorry I was not there on Sunday but I had a family emergency. I thank God for The Maker On The Move - New, Louise who held the fort for me. I cannot thank her enough and her boyfriend Jonny, who helped her pack up and bring the stuff home.
Clare Collier your visit to the stand brightened my day, I cherish the piece of fabric you gave me and the almond biscuits were so yummy💝
Pauline Warwick it was lovely to see you and thank you for my coffee.
