Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to provide one-to-one support within a preschool setting, with the flexibility of bank hours to suit your availability. This role is ideal for those passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a positive impact on children's development. The position offers valuable experience working with children in a nurturing environment, contributing to their growth and learning.

Duties

Provide personalised support an individual children, ensuring their specific needs are met within the preschool environment
Assist with daily activities, including play, learning, and behavioural management, fostering a safe and inclusive space
Collaborate closely with nursery staff to implement tailored care plans and educational programmes
Support children during transitions and routines to promote stability and confidence
Maintain clear communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and wellbeing
Uphold health and safety standards at all times, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Contribute to the organisation of activities that encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development
Qualifications

Experience working with children in childcare or nursery settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Demonstrated management or leadership qualities in previous roles or voluntary work
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also providing individualised support
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel between locations
Passionate about working with children and committed to their safety and wellbeing

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Play - Leader to oversee daily operations within our Wrap around hours in our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and maintaining high standards of childcare. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and well-being of children while leading a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support childcare staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
Coordinate daily activities and programme schedules for children, ensuring a stimulating and safe environment
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management regarding children's progress and any concerns
Oversee the implementation of early childhood education programmes, ensuring developmental goals are met
Maintain health and safety standards in accordance with regulatory requirements
Assist with organising activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the nursery environment
Lead by example in demonstrating excellent communication skills and professionalism at all times
Experience

Proven management or supervisory experience within childcare settings or nursery environments
Experience working directly with children, ideally within early childhood education or childcare roles
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in nursery care
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies as needed
This role is vital in shaping a positive experience for children while supporting a cohesive team dedicated to high-quality childcare. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive, and passionate about fostering a nurturing environment for young learners.

Little Wombatz are Recruiting for a passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join the the company working predominantly in the Wrap around team with Hours available in Preschool as well.

To ensure we provide inclusive play and learning opportunities for all children attending the setting and to maintain a safe, stimulating and enjoyable environment.

The successful candidate:

Have or be working towards or willing to train as level 3 early years qualification.
A sound understanding of child development and children’s needs with an ability and experience of contributing to planning and implementing an early year’s age/stage appropriate curriculum, taking into account the SEN Code of Practice, child protection procedures and equal opportunities’ considerations.
Ability to build good partnership working relationships with staff within the setting and in the wider organisation and other professionals.
Ability to communicate the need for quality and continuous improvement and influence good practice through own example.
Ability to communicate in a variety of ways, verbally and in writing, and with people at all levels, and adopts a communication method appropriate for the listener or audience.
Able to work on own initiative.
Demonstrates professionalism in approach to managing all issues.
Good customer awareness.
Knowledge of current legislation relevant to the Early Years.
The hours are proposed as 7.30-9am 4 days a week 2-6pm 5 days and 1 full day in preschool making a 8 -5 day. all year round including school holidays, With 28.5 hours a week in school holidays with possible overtime available.
Salary £8.60 - £12.00 an hour depending on qualifications and experience .
