We are a salon based Alternative Provision specialising in Mental health,wellbeing,teaching aswell as our Alternative Provision we offer hair,beauty,nails, massage and holistic therapys. Specialising in alternative provision education, we combine professional hair and beauty training with a nurturing environment tailored to learners who thrive outside traditional classrooms. People often ask us, “What do you actually do these days?” 🫶🏻

Well… a lot has changed over the years!

Together, we’re the driving force behind Elite Studio EA Ltd — and what started as a salon has grown into so much more.

Between us, we lead and navigate a team of 14 staff members, overseeing the day-to-day running of our specialist education and alternative provision.

Our roles are incredibly varied. We organise the daily structures, timetables and lesson plans, coordinate staff and students, and make sure our young people are safe, supported and appropriately safeguarded throughout their time with us.

We communicate directly with parents and carers, keeping them updated, listening to concerns, discussing progress and making sure there is a strong line of communication between home and the provision.

We work directly with local authorities, commissioners, schools and other professionals, arranging meetings, discussing placements and building relationships to develop and grow our provision.

Behind the scenes, there’s also the less glamorous stuff 😂 — payroll, invoicing, administration, finances and business development, as well as constantly looking for new opportunities and partnerships to continue growing Elite.

We have 12 different work and learning rooms and support young people across a range of pathways, including under 16s, post-14 and post-16 students, home-educated young people, social services, TES teams and Unity Trust.

Our students can work towards recognised qualifications, develop practical skills and gain real-life experience in a working environment.

On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, our students also have the opportunity to work with members of the public within our salon, gaining valuable hands-on experience — while clients benefit from 30% off our main salon services.

So when people ask what we do these days…

We run a team of 14, manage the daily running of our provision, oversee education and lesson planning, safeguard our students, finances and growth.

LM will be joining us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, where they’ll have the opportunity to learn, develop new skills, build confidence and work towards recognised qualifications — all within a safe, supportive and nurturing environment. 🌟
