Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all who know me. Here's just a few of the instruments I made in 2023. Also a pic of my Xmas present I made for myself - a sunburst f-hole guitar. It's been a difficult year health-wise but feeling much better. Onwards & upwards! Thank you for all your support over the years. Merry Christmas.

“This is still the one and only mandolin I have ever felt any need to own. It has a lovely silvery sound and amazing projection. You can play Vivaldi on it, or a low-down dirty blues. Or just about anything in between.” Hugh Boyde http://www.hughboyde.com/arrival-of-the-mandolin/
Hugh is a fabulous musician, music teacher, and friend. Here's a couple of videos from his You Tube of him playing the mandolin I made for him.

“Can you make it purple to match my favourite gig trousers?” Yep, of course! Made many years ago for folk/blues musician & inventor of the rubber-stringed Ashbory Bass, Alun Ashworth-Jones. Al also devised & made the Ashworth transducer pick-ups fitted in many of my guitars. Sadly, he died far too young in 2008. The guitar has since been back to me with its current owner, Allan Cubitt, writer and director of TV’s ‘The Fall’. It was so good to see the instrument still being played and enjoyed.

Carved-top guitar, a one-off commission I made for Rohan Leach. I dyed the maple with black. Moveable, floating pick-ups. Case by Hiscox Cases which I customised for Rohan with a piece of maple taken from the same bit of wood from which the guitar was made.
