Elloughton Bear got fed up with the cold weather in Hull, so he packed his bags and set off on another European adventure!

This time, he’s swapped the Humber for towering mountains, beautiful green valleys and picture-perfect Alpine scenery.

He’s been enjoying the fresh mountain air, spotting cable cars disappearing high into the mountains and exploring a pretty town surrounded by some seriously impressive peaks.

Bear has also discovered a new favourite soft drink called Almdudler – a fizzy herbal drink made with Alpine herbs. That might be a useful clue!

This place is a favourite with skiers in the winter, but at this time of year the snowy slopes are replaced by green mountains, walking trails and spectacular views.

There’s also a rather famous mountain nearby with one of the steepest ski runs around – although Bear thinks he’ll stick to sightseeing!

Elloughton Bear has stayed a little closer to home this week and is enjoying a break from his European adventures!

He has been exploring a fantastic new museum and discovering more about our local maritime history. He found out about the people who worked at sea, the ships that sailed from our shores and how our local area became famous around the world for its fishing and seafaring heritage.

There were lots of fascinating objects and stories to discover, with plenty of clues about this city’s long connection with the sea.

Elloughton Bear’s adventures continue!

This time, he’s soaking up the sunshine in a beautiful Mediterranean city…

He’s spotted an enormous historic cathedral that has stood overlooking the sea for hundreds of years.

Huge cruise ships regularly sail into the harbour here as they make their way around the Mediterranean.

There are boats and yachts everywhere, with a beautiful waterfront stretching alongside the city.

And, of course, Elloughton Bear has managed to find plenty of sunshine along the way.

We are ver proud of this young lady!

Today marks the end of another incredible week Royal Ballet School Summer Intensive for this beautiful ballerina! To top it off, she also received boarder of the week for the 2nd time this year, and just when it couldn’t get any better, she got a well deserved place to perform in Northern Ballet Cinderella Leeds Grand Theatre 🩰 absolutely outstanding and a testament to you hard work and dedication! Proud, proud, proud!

This week, Brownie has moved on to his next holiday home, and it looks like he is in very capable hands!

We have a feeling there are going to be plenty of cuddles, lots of attention and perhaps a few extra treats while he enjoys his stay with this young man and his family from our EYFS class.

Brownie really is very lucky to have so many wonderful families looking after him over the summer.

Elloughton’s favourite bear is continuing on his globetrotting adventures!

This time, Elloughton Bear has found himself in a city quite unlike anywhere else he has visited before…

There are no roads in sight, so he’s been getting around on the water! He’s spotted beautiful boats gliding along narrow waterways, crossed some very famous bridges and wandered through a magnificent square filled with history.

He’s admired grand old buildings rising straight from the water, watched gondoliers at work and kept a very close eye on his lunch with rather a lot of pigeons nearby!

Elloughton Bear is off on his travels again!

This time, his adventure began with an overnight journey across the water after boarding a ferry in Liverpool.

Since arriving, he’s walked among some incredible giant stone columns formed millions of years ago, discovered the story of one of the world’s most famous ships, stepped inside the walls of a historic Victorian prison and even spotted some impressive artwork inspired by a very famous fantasy TV series!

He’s certainly packed a lot into this adventure already…

We are incredibly proud to share the fantastic 2026 results achieved by our pupils at Elloughton Primary School.

Across Early Years, Phonics and Key Stage 2, our children have achieved outcomes above the national average in all five of the key measures shown.

These results reflect the hard work and determination of our wonderful pupils, the dedication of our staff and the fantastic support of our families.

We are extremely proud of everything our children have achieved. Well done to them all!
