Please take the time to watch this fantastic video about our "United Nations Rights Respecting School" work made by Amy Fraser, House Captain for McDonald House. Pupils in one of Mrs Fraser's former P6 classes at Auchterellon Primary School wrote the song for the soundtrack and Amy wrote the music. This will be shown to all Ellon Academy pupils in assemblies along with presentations by S3 Modern Studies pupils next week. We hope to send copies to all our associated primary schools too. Well done Amy and thank you! Mrs Hall.

ROTARY DISTRICT 1010 YOUNG CHEF FINAL 2016 - NORTH OF SCOTLAND REGION.

Ellon Rotary supported Helen McVey from Ellon Academy, at the Young Chef District Final, held at North East Scotland College, Aberdeen on Saturday 23rd January, 2016.

Helen had a good showing becoming 4th equal in what was a hard fought and high quality final. Attached are photos from the event, enjoy. (Photos by Andy McLean - Ellon Rotary). The event was supported by Ellon Rotary's Vocational and Youth Service Convenor.

We train mainly in intervals, using high energy bursts with little recovery time which is great for burning any unwanted body fat as well as being an excellent stress buster.

That's the start of our first Christmas holidays at the new school. This afternoon saw 3 Christmas services in different locations. One concert was in the hall in the new school which was packed out. Well done to all who participated in these services.

An excellent response has been made today by Ellon Academy pupils to the "Wear a Christmas Jumper" event which helped raise £600 for the support of 3 charities. The money raised goes towards MacMillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish and Save the Children. The Candy Canes have also gone down a treat with many pupils this year again.
