🌳 Another big beech tree taken down at Oswestry Rugby Club 🌳Oswestry Rugby Club
Sadly, this beautiful beech had become heavily infected with honey fungus, leaving the tree extremely hollow and structurally unsafe. With its location right alongside the road and next to the rugby pitch, it was simply too much of a risk to leave standing.
This was a proper team effort, with the full Egerton Tree Care crew on site and all the specialist equipment needed to carefully dismantle and lower the tree safely. 🌲🪚
It’s always sad to see a magnificent old tree like this come down, but the safety of everyone using the rugby club and the surrounding road has to come first.
A huge well done to all the lads for another job carried out safely and professionally — and I’m particularly proud to be working alongside my boys and the team on jobs like this. 🌳👌
