Dear Parents,
In 1989, Mike and I bought Hooton Farm House so we could open a small children’s nursery, where I could work, whilst bringing up our very young daughters in its beautiful surroundings.
Fast forward 32 years and as a family we can look back on some amazing times – working with lovely staff, caring for wonderful, inquisitive children and enjoying a special relationship with parents who have trusted us and our very special, long standing ‘team’ with the care and education of their most precious possessions.
We are both very proud of the environment that we have created here at Hooton – but now feel it is time for us to take a step back and concentrate again fully on our family, spending more time with our three beautiful grandchildren.
We have made the decision to sell the business to S4YC, a local provider. They have great plans for the future development of the nursery. They understand the value of a strong, stable team and consequently all our lovely staff will remain, giving continuity of care for your children.
This has not been an easy decision. We will miss the staff and children very much. We genuinely feel that we are doing the right thing, both for us and for the future of the nursery.
Mike and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support over the years – particularly over the past 12 months, which have been especially difficult, challenging and stressful.
All that is left to say is goodbye and thank you, to you and your lovely children, for all the very happy memories.
