Improve your skills, meet other musicians, play live music and build your confidence.

We will be hosting our first ‘Acoustic Guitar Play Along Session’ with a live vocalist on Wednesday 26th October 2022 at the Royal British Legion in Little Sutton 7pm-830pm.
£5 entry
-What is it?
We are aiming to get as many guitar players as possible in one big room and have the most epic play along session.
We will all be playing the same songs together and our incredible vocalist is going to sing them for us.
Its going to be like one huge guitar symphony!!! We can’t wait
Playing music on your own is boring. Playing live with other people is what music is all about!
If you have an acoustic guitar and can already play chords but are frustrated with always playing alone or playing the same old stuff and never getting any better then this play along session will be perfect for you!
-What skill level do i need to be?
As long as you already know how to play chords and can change between them that’s all you need.
Don’t miss out this is going to be a fantastic experience!

Our Music School was founded back in 2003 and we have been teaching people of all ages and abilities how to play music ever since.
What we offer
1 to 1 lessons
Our 1 to 1 lessons are tailored to your specific needs whether you are a complete beginner who is just starting out or an advanced player looking to reach the next level with your skills.
The 1 to 1 lesson format gives you full access to your teacher and their undivided attention. Your teacher will create a personal plan of action designed specially for you so that you can reach your own personal goals and see improvements in your playing ability . You can learn at your own pace and progress at your chosen speed whilst being fully supported along the way by one of our excellent teachers.
1 to 1 lessons are perfect for anyone wanting to become a much better player in their chosen instrument.
Beginner group lessons
Group lessons have become very popular at our school and the feedback we have received over the last 5 years of running them has been brilliant.
The group lesson format is a great way to receive top quality instruction at an affordable rate with the added bonus of meeting other players.
Our structured beginner courses are designed to get you up and running quickly and playing your instrument correctly.
We have had many students progress to a great standard of playing through our group classes.
Advanced group lessons
We also run advanced group lessons and workshops that are aimed at specific topics i.e speed/shred playing for guitar, rudiment practise for drums, performance preparation for vocals and other topics such as
music theory and basic recording skills.
Prices
1 to 1 lessons £25 phr (45 minutes for singing lessons)
Group Lessons £10 per hour (including guitar hire)

HEY HEY!

Live music showcase tomorrow at the Whitby sports and social club (shell club) 1230pm start

We have been teaching all our students at Music Matters to work together in bands. Tomorrow we have our first performance showcase with over 60 budding local musicians (of all ages) performing a range of songs together.

We would love you to come along and support our show! The guys have been working really hard over the last year to get this show ready and are very excited to perform for you.

Tickets available now.
You can pay on the door tomorrow but tickets are limited.
Tickets are £5 each
