The event is packed with music, dancing, adventure, and hands-on activities, it’s a day out for the whole family! 🌳☀️

🍩 What a fantastic way to end the school year! 🍩

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our incredibly successful Do-nut Day on Friday - we're delighted to announce that we raised an amazing £120 towards our exciting new school playground! 🎉

The do-nuts were a huge hit and every purchase has helped us move one step closer to creating an even better outdoor space for our children to enjoy. We truly appreciate the continued support of our wonderful school community – we couldn't do it without you! 💙

Wishing all of our pupils, families and friends a happy, relaxing and sunshine-filled summer holiday! ☀️🌈

Our Year 6 Enterprise Day raised an amazing £220! 🎉

A huge well done to our Year 6 pupils, who showed fantastic creativity, teamwork and entrepreneurial skills as they planned, created and sold their products to children across school.

The money raised will go towards our exciting new playground equipment, helping to create an even better outdoor space for everyone to enjoy! 🌟

🏅 We've Gone for Gold! 🏅

We are so pleased to announce that West Vale Academy has been awarded the Gold School Games Mark! 🌟

After achieving Silver last year, we are incredibly proud to have progressed to Gold. This award recognises our commitment to providing high-quality PE, school sport and physical activity opportunities, ensuring every child has the chance to be active, develop new skills and enjoy the many benefits of sport.

A huge well done to our amazing pupils for their enthusiasm, commitment and engagement in the wide range of sporting opportunities, competitions and events they have taken part in throughout the year. Your determination, teamwork and sportsmanship have made this achievement possible!

🐛 Reception got creative today! 🐛

Our Reception children had a fantastic time welcoming The Clay Team with Steph and Jodie into school today. They listened carefully to the step-by-step instructions and used their brilliant listening, concentration and creativity to sculpt their very own Very Hungry Caterpillar from clay.

We are so proud of the care and enthusiasm they showed throughout the session. 🌿🎨

🚑 Well done to our amazing Year 6 children, who have successfully completed their Bronze First Aid Course with St John Ambulance !👏
Throughout the course, they learned invaluable life-saving skills, including CPR, the Heimlich manoeuvre, and how to support someone with a suspected break or sprain using a sling and bandages.
These are incredible skills for life, and we are so proud of the maturity, enthusiasm and confidence they showed throughout the training. As they prepare for their move to secondary school, they leave West Vale with knowledge that could one day make a real difference to someone in need. ❤️💚

✨ Creating memories to last a lifetime... ✨
Our Year 6 children had a fantastic time taking part in their Mini Me sessions led by The Clay Team with Steph and Jodie, creating their very own personalised models to remember their time at West Vale Academy.
From choosing the little details that make them unique to seeing their finished creations come to life, the children loved every minute. 💙
These special keepsakes will be a wonderful reminder of the friendships they've made, the memories they've created and the incredible journey they've had with us. We can't wait to see them proudly displayed for years to come. 🌟

We are so proud of our talented young musicians and the bravery they showed performing in front of their peers and parents today. Their confidence, teamwork and enthusiasm shone through in every performance.
