Elland CE J, I & N School

Today was all about these six wonderful people, who are sadly leaving us after a combined total of 79 years working at Elland. We could not let them go without recognising their hard work, dedication and commitment to our school, so we held a special assembly this morning to celebrate each and every one of them. Following this, each class spent some time with them, presenting gifts and sharing stories, laughter and memories. We will be forever grateful that you chose to work at Elland, and you will always hold a special place in our hearts. You will be sorely missed by children, staff and parents.

Year 6 are nearly at the end of their time at Elland CE School. Yesterday morning, they performed their leavers assembly for the whole school and parents where they were presented with their leavers hoodies.
Last night, they enjoyed their end of Year 6 disco which was kindly organised by Year 6 staff and a group of parent volunteers. The children had a brilliant time and enjoyed singing and dancing with DJ Tigs.

Last week, Year 6 had an amazing time at Gulliver's World. It was lovely see all the children smiling and having fun not just on the rides but spending time with their friends. It was a fantastic day from beginning to end.

Wow! What an amazing turnout for our Summer Fund Fest! We had a brilliant time filled with lots of smiling, happy faces as you enjoyed hook-a-duck, soak a teacher, chocolate tombola, and so much more! Thank you to everyone who came and supported our event, you helped us raise over £500 towards new playground equipment for the children!
A huge shout out to those who came to help with the setup beforehand – your support is very much appreciated!

Tomorrow is our Playground Fund Fest! Join us from 3:15-4:15pm for an afternoon filled with fun! We have lots of great stalls lined up for you to enjoy.

As the weather is set to be warm, we’re looking to provide as much shade as possible. If anyone has a free-standing parasol that we could borrow, please bring it to school in the morning. Your support is greatly appreciated!

🎉 Well….what can we say? Elland’s Got Talent really was a huge success this afternoon (despite the unexpected interlude)! We are incredibly proud of everyone that was involved and think they did a wonderful job of entertaining us for the afternoon.

A massive well done to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners! 🏆 Prizes will be presented in Friday’s assembly, so be sure to join us in celebrating their achievements!
