Moray’s Early Learning and Childcare top up rates to increase at 6 local authority services.

After feedback from private funded providers earlier in 2023, in relation to top up rates and to ensure that local authority services were in line with market rates, the ELC team have reviewed the current local authority top up charges.

A survey of all funded providers was issued early in term 1 of the new academic year (2023-2024) and when the data was reviewed it highlighted a need to increase the current top up charges to remain in line with private funded providers.

This recommendation was agreed yesterday at Education, Leisure and Communities Council and the increase will come into effect from 1 April 2024.

⛄️ Festive afternoon teas and visits with Santa, I KNOW HIM! 🤣

We have been getting lots of questions about our festive events so here’s a couple of answers.

Yes, we will be running our hugely popular Santa’s grotto. Every child will get snowy sleigh photos, personal visit with Santa and a gift worth over £15.

You don’t need to book, simply come along between 12 & 4 every Saturday and Sunday throughout December up to and including Christmas Eve. (We may open longer so please watch this space).

How much does Santa cost? We know Christmas is an expensive time of the year so like the weather, we are freezing our prices with a visit in 2023 being at the 2022 price of £12.

Yes, we are offering festive afternoon teas as always which will start from November 1st. You can book your teas online and will contain the following items.

Festive finger sandwiches
Christmas mini pie
Our famous homemade sausage roll
Mince pie
Terry’s chocolate orange tray bake 🍊
Mini festive scone with cream and jam

Sorry, we cannot offer GF, vegan or kids teas but you can order from the main menu. Afternoon teas also include unlimited hot drinks & draught soft drinks all for £15.95 per person.
