A big thank you to everyone who supported our Summer Fair today ๐ฅณ
Your support as always is very much appreciated. We were very lucky with only a few spots of rain ๐
Thank you to all of our staff, governors and parishioners for all of your help โค๏ธ
We have a few left over items that we will be selling in a โTuck Shopโ tomorrow. Children are welcome to bring money into school, with all items being ยฃ1 ๐
Just a reminder that it is our Summer Fair tomorrow ๐
All children can come in to school in their own clothes and any donations of cakes would be most appreciated ๐ง
Everyone welcome, letโs hope for some sunshine โ๏ธ
Just a reminder that it is our rearranged Summer Fair this Thursday at 1:30pm. Everyone is welcome to come along ๐
Well done to Year 5, our Maths whizz winners this week ๐
Well done to Year 1, who are this weekโs attendance winners with 90% ๐
Year 5 had a visit from an Imam who came to teach us about his religion, Islam. We learned that the main beliefs of Islam are called the Five Pillars, and that Muslims pray five times a day. We did lots of work on the 25 prophets mentioned in the Qurโan and learned their names in both the Qurโan and the Bible. We also learned about Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, and had the opportunity to taste some dates, which Muslims traditionally eat to break their fast.
As part of National Writing Day 2025, KS2 took part in a live online writing lesson alongside hundreds of other classes around the country. We all came together to celebrate creativity, storytelling and the joy of writing. The session was lively and inspiring and helped children to think deeply to get their ideas flowing. The thought-provoking images encouraged children to build vivid settings, engaging characters and exciting narratives around the theme of isolation and discovery.
Please see Parent mail and Class Dojo for more information, as unfortunately our Summer Fair has been postponed until next Thursday due to the weather ๐ง๏ธ
During the week of 9th June 2025, our Year 1 children took part in the statutory Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. They have worked extremely hard all year towards this and performed their very best during the check. We are delighted to announce that 90% of our Year 1 children achieved the expected standard in the check. Congratulations to all our Read Write Inc Phonics teachers, pupils and parents for their hard work in helping us achieve this ๐
Year 1 had a visit from Allison and Mark from Danicaโs Dream Fund, which is Year 1โs class charity. Some members of the class decided to try and raise even more money for this special charity. During May they walked, ran, cycled and scooted as much as their legs could! They decided to call the challenge โMiles in Mayโ. They managed to raise an astonishing ยฃ452 which is incredible ๐
A massive thank you to Jack, Ernie, Eric, Ella, Elsie and Orla for doing this. We are extremely thankful to their families for organising it all. Allison (Danicaโs Mum) and Mark from the charity gratefully accepted the donation and were thrilled. We were sorry that Jack was missing from the photo after all his dedication to this fundraising ๐
Well done everyone we are so proud of you ๐
