❤️We ended the academic year as we always do; giving our Year 6 leavers the send off they deserve. 🥰
💚We are so proud of the young people they have become and share in the memories of the many things they have each achieved during their time with us. 🥳
💛We know they will all go on to achieve even more amazing things in this next chapter of their lives. 🙌🏻

At St Bridget’s we are extremely proud of Albie, one of our Year 2 children, who chose to raise money for his class charity Blood Bikes Cumbria. On Saturday 4th July undertook a 5.5 mile walk sponsored walk, with his dad, from his home in Thornhill to Whitehaven Hospital. This was not an easy challenge for Albie. He showed great determination and resilience to complete the challenge, raising an amazing £2206.25 for the charity. Well done Albie! 🥰 You are an inspiration to us all to make a difference to the lives of others ❤️

🌟Happy Retirement Mrs Newby🌟

As we bid Mrs Newby a very happy retirement, we would like to thank her for her 28 years of dedicated service to our school. Throughout her time here, she has led our sports curriculum with enthusiasm, commitment and outstanding organisation. More importantly, she has been a kind, caring and inspirational teacher, as well as an exceptional Key Stage 2 Leader, always willing to support colleagues, pupils and families alike ❤️

Mrs Newby has made a lasting impact on our school community, and her dedication and hard work will be remembered for many years to come. While we will miss her greatly, we are delighted that she can now enjoy the freedom of retirement, spending precious time with her family and creating wonderful new memories ❤️

Happy Retirement, Mrs Newby! Thank you for everything you have done for our school. We wish you many years of happiness, relaxation and adventure in this exciting new chapter of your life🎉

KS2 had a fantastic day on their school trip to the Lost Fort at Lowther Castle!
The children had an amazing time exploring the adventure playground, where they climbed, slid, swung, and zoomed along the zip wire. There were lots of smiles and laughter as they played exciting games of hide and seek, making the most of every corner of the fort.
After all the fun and adventure, everyone enjoyed a refreshing ice pop to cool down before setting off on the journey home.
It was a wonderful day filled with adventure, teamwork, and lots of happy memories. Well done to all of KS2 for being fantastic ambassadors for our school!

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 had a fantastic school trip to Walby Farm Park! The children had an amazing day exploring everything. They had great fun playing in the soft play area, climbing on the adventure playground, bouncing on the trampolines, exploring the indoor wooden castle, and meeting all of the wonderful animals.

The children behaved beautifully throughout the day and were a real credit to our school. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them for their excellent manners, kindness, and enthusiasm. It was a wonderful day filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of happy memories!

We can't wait to welcome our families into school tonight and tomorrow to enjoy our Junior Production of Annie! 🎭🎶

Our talented children have worked incredibly hard over the past few weeks, learning their lines, perfecting their songs and dances and bringing this much-loved musical to life. We are so proud of each and every one of them and can't wait to share their amazing performance with you.

Thank you to everyone for all your generous food donations on Green Day. Today, the food bank came to our school to collect all of the donated food. They were incredibly grateful for your generosity and asked us to pass on their sincere thanks to everyone who donated.
Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will help support individuals and families in our local community. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to support such an important cause.
