Well done to our Y3 who went to Egremont Bowling Club yesterday to learn how to bowl. They also got to compete against other schools. They really enjoyed the time there, even with the weather. Thank you again to Egremont Bowling Club for inviting us and organising this event for the children.

Our amazing children represented the school at the Panathlon Challenge yesterday and did exceptionally well! They came in 1st place and brought home a wonderful trophy and medals. π₯π

At Breakfast Club it was buzzing with fun and laughter today! The children were having a fantastic time enjoying their breakfast and diving into playful adventures with building blocks and figures. It's heartwarming to see their creativity and friendships grow every day. π½οΈ
ππ Our Year 6 children have officially finished their SATs! They've done incredibly well and we're so proud of their hard work and dedication. To celebrate, we finished off in style with delicious Hartley's ice cream and a fun game of rounders. Well done to them all! π¦π₯³
Our talented Year 4 children have been hard at work crafting slingshot buggies in their Design & Technology lessons! π οΈ From concept to creation, they've unleashed their engineering skills to build these impressive vehicles. π "
It is wonderful to reminisce about those special moments from school, especially our concerts and festive season. The combination of old photos and nostalgia seems to have sparked quite a bit of engagement too. It's great to see people coming together to share in those memories.
What a busy week in Year 5! They have been busy in French, created some awesome clay bowls, and explored a science investigations into forces. So much learning and creativity packed into one week!
π Today, Year 1 had an exciting visit from our local fire service! The children got to learn about fire safety and even had the chance to see a real engine up close. They were excited to explore the engine and ask questions about what itβs like to be a firefighter. A huge thank you to our brave firefighters for sharing their knowledge and making learning so much fun! π₯π¨βπ They did ask me to remind everyone that the fire service can fit smoke alarms free of charge. You would need to contact Whitehaven Fire station.
We had a bit of a issue with our ovens today, but thanks to the wonderful staff at Egremont Co-op and the ice cream from Hartley Ice Cream, we turned a potential problem into a fantastic picnic on the school field! The children had a blast, and it was a perfect reminder that even when things don't go as planned, there's always a way to find the positive. π¦π

Today, our infants embarked on an unforgettable trip to Hawse End. It was a day filled with adventure. From canoeing on Derwent Water to trekking through the stunning mountains, the children embraced the challenges and loved being in the great outdoors.
Weβre so proud of their enthusiasm and behaviour! It's wonderful to see how much they learn and grow outside the classroom. A big thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers for making this experience possible. π π£ββοΈ
There's something truly magical about watching a child discover the power of reading. As they sound out words and string together sentences, you can see their world expanding before your eyes. Here's to the joy of learning and the incredible power of reading! πβ¨

The Promise Creative Workshop was a huge success with the Year 4 children this afternoon! π We had beautiful weather and an amazing location, making the session truly special. A big thank you to Handpicked Productions and the Friends of Egremont Castle for helping make this event happen. πI hope some families will be able to attend the event at 4pm today.
