Our Club mixes Competition and leisure with a touch of innovation. Not only will we form a competitive team that will lead the National leagues against other British Universities, but we will also offer a wide range of casual options for more relaxed members, including: beginner to advanced lessons, chess variant lessons (e.g. German chess, Japanese chess), and a myriad of socials and events to enjoy such as films, chess and pizza nights, trips and Chess-Boxing! But we always focus upon your development, with regular training workshops, games nights, and our termly blitz tournaments. No matter what level you are, whether you are a newbie or world champion, all players are welcome!!

Merveilla is a hidden, technologically advanced society flourishing in the mountains of 1500s Europa. Six Kings and their Boards, must fight for Merveilla’s squares every twenty years, as Queens, Bishops, Knights, Rooks and lowly pawns get caught in the chaos of an electoral year.
