Plantforms,based in Edinburgh, provides an ecologically informed planting design service. Specialist in low maintenance herbaceous street plantings.

Besides conventional planting design I have an expertise in creating perennials meadows from seed sown in situ. These are highly sustainable schemes designed to give the effect of a meadow but with the impact of a traditional border. Maintenance and cost is low and the energy invovled in raising plants in pots and transporting them around the world in avoided. Random planting is also a development I'd like to promote in the UK. It's a system developed in Germany where they put much research into it. I've my first public scheme using this method in Edinburgh this spring for the council.
