Huge congrats to Aldyn Morrison — winner of the U13 Inchdrewer Beating Drumming Competition! 🥁

A phenomenal achievement from someone who only started drumming a few months ago, with Cilleán backing him on the pipes 👏

Thanks to their energy, smiles, and brilliant teamwork, the Boroughmuir High School Pipe Band raised an incredible £1,100 towards new drum and uniform kit during today’s bag‑packing at Waitrose. It was fantastic to see the kids chatting confidently to customers, working together, and showing real pride in their band.

@🥁 Huge thanks to everyone who supported us today. 🥁

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?

No — it’s just Gordon the Gong having his big Queen moment at the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships.

Gordon had quite the adventure. Sought out for his uniqueness in the City of Edinburgh Council, he had very important rehearsals to attend before his big day. After initially being left behind on Sunday morning (imagine!), Gordon landed the starring role in Bohemian Rhapsody and absolutely owned that final note.

Thank you for your service Gordon, Freddie Mercury would be proud 🤘🏻 12/03/2026

🎶 An incredible day for the band today, performing at the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships in Kilmarnock. The band gave absolutely everything to their performances — they looked and sounded phenomenal, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them!

They showed real team spirit and supported each another at every step. They were a credit to themselves and their schools- it was a joy to watch them shine! 🎶
