InterStudies is a well established UK based organisation with a nation wide network of dedicated local area representatives and an international management team. We have a branch in Ireland with a widespread and equally dedicated network of local representatives and through our partner organisations we are represented in many parts of the world. We expect our partners around the world to offer the same high level of caring for the British exchange students who participate in our programmes in other countries. We are convinced that there is no better way to learn a language than "living it" and we enjoy helping pupils and students from all over the world to make the most of the unique educational opportunity they have been given. Our management team and staff are highly qualified and experienced within the world of education and we have selected our people for their dedications to the work we do as well as for their personal skills and their belief in our values. 🌟 Meet the Team

Next up in our Meet the Team series this July is Lone! 💛

Meet Lone, one of the people who helps create unforgettable experiences for our students beyond the classroom.

As our Camps and Tours Manager, Lone organises and leads our welcome camps and tours throughout the year, giving students the opportunity to explore new places, make lifelong memories and build friendships with students from around the world.

“I love being able to give our students the opportunity to experience new places, amazing sights and meet new friends at the same time. It’s an added bonus and a great opportunity when you’re an exchange student.”

Lone has been part of the InterStudies family for an incredible 21 years. Before joining the team, she worked as an English teacher, where she loved spending time with her students. Her passion for travelling and meeting new people made the move into educational travel a perfect fit.

When she’s not leading camps and tours, Lone enjoys sewing and knitting—creative hobbies that help her unwind.

Her perfect morning? Waking up early and enjoying a peaceful cup of coffee before the day begins.

🌟 Meet the Team

Next up in our Meet the Team series this July is Bo! 💛

Meet Bo, one of the people working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly at InterStudies.

As our Director of IT, Bo is responsible for the technology that keeps InterStudies running day to day. From developing systems to automating processes, he works behind the scenes to make life easier for the team and ensure everything runs as efficiently as possible.

“May I mention two? 😊 1) This is not only my job, it is my hobby too. 2) The best part of my job is when I automate things to make it easier for the staff to manage the students, and actually see it works.”

Bo has been part of the InterStudies family for 24 years, right from day one. He first worked with InterStudies as an external IT provider before joining the team full-time. His journey into InterStudies began back in the 1990s when he helped Anette’s mum, Vera, with her computer, and the rest, as they say, is history!

When he’s not at work, Bo enjoys making music and, unsurprisingly, loves anything to do with technology. He’s always looking for ways to solve problems and improve the systems around him.

His perfect morning? Waking up around 6am, knowing all the systems are running perfectly, and enjoying a coffee in bed.

🌟 Meet the Team

Next up in our Meet the Team series this July is Tim! 💛

Meet Tim, one of the people helping students make the most of their experience studying abroad.

As our Programme Manager for the UK Select Programme, Tim supports students throughout their journey, helping to ensure they have a positive and memorable experience during their time in the UK.

“The best part of my job is when I get an email or message from a student saying what a great time they had on the programme!”

Although Tim only joined the InterStudies team this year, he brings a wealth of experience with him. Before working in the international student sector, he worked in recruitment across the broadcast TV and finance industries, as well as in retail for WHSmith and Currys. Since 2010, Tim has also supported SelectStudies with his wife, joining the business full-time in 2015 before becoming part of the InterStudies family.

When he’s not at work, Tim enjoys tackling repair projects around the house. Whether it’s fixing something that’s broken or bringing an old laptop back to life, he loves the challenge of making things work again. He also enjoys spending time walking his Cocker Spaniel, Rosie.

His perfect morning? A little lie-in, followed by a lovely walk with Rosie, then heading home for a cup of tea before getting stuck into his next repair project.

Next up in our Meet the Team series this July is Louise! 💛

Meet Louise, one of the people working behind the scenes to help keep everything running smoothly at InterStudies.

As our Finance and Office Manager, Louise keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She’s an essential part of the InterStudies team, making sure everything is organised and supporting the day-to-day running of the business. While she doesn’t work directly with students every day, she loves getting involved in our tours and camps whenever she has the opportunity.

“I enjoy the general day-to-day bookkeeping and setting up elaborate Excel spreadsheets 😊 I also enjoy being part of a team that wants to make a difference for young adults. In addition, I sometimes get involved in our tours and camps, which I love too!”

Louise has been part of the InterStudies family for 13 years. Before joining the team, she worked in finance roles for banks and accountancy firms, bringing a wealth of experience to InterStudies.

When she’s not at work, Louise loves getting outdoors for long walks with her dog, Snoop. She’s also rediscovering her love of reading and enjoys listening to music most evenings instead of watching TV. More recently, she’s been getting back into Pilates and yoga too.

Her perfect morning? During the week, it’s taking Snoop for a walk and enjoying a coffee (or two!) before starting work. At the weekend, it’s a slower start with plenty of coffee followed by a long walk with the ever-energetic Snoop.

Meet Sarah, one of the people working behind the scenes to help students have an unforgettable experience abroad.

As part of the InterStudies team, Sarah supports students throughout their programme, building lasting relationships and helping them make the most of their time abroad.

“The best part of my job is developing a bond with students during their programme that continues into their adult lives. Watching them go on to achieve and succeed is a lovely thing!”

Sarah has been part of the InterStudies family for 10 years. Before joining the team, she worked for another high school exchange programme, and cultural exchange has been at the heart of her career for over 15 years.

When she’s not at work, Sarah loves spending time reading or going for a swim. She also enjoys relaxing in her garden and making the most of peaceful moments outdoors.

Her perfect morning? Sitting in her garden with a proper cup of coffee, listening to the birds before the day begins.

Next up in our Meet the Team series this July is Anette! 💛

Meet Anette, one of the people behind InterStudies who has been helping students experience the adventure of studying abroad from the very beginning.

As our Managing Director, Anette leads the InterStudies team and is passionate about creating life-changing opportunities for young people to experience new cultures, build confidence and develop skills that stay with them for life.

“The best part of my job is knowing that we are making a difference, helping our young students to an educational experience of a lifetime, which they will learn and grow from. Being part of the journey from their arrival as shy teenagers till they leave as mature young people is amazing.”

Anette has been part of InterStudies since the very beginning, over 24 years ago. Before founding the company, cultural exchange and international connections had already played a significant role in her career, with a brief venture into property before focusing on building InterStudies. Her goal has always been to provide cost-effective, high-quality opportunities for students to truly live the language while immersing themselves in a different culture and way of life.

When she’s not at work, Anette enjoys photography whenever she gets the chance. She also loves watching the sunrise and appreciating the beauty of the world around her.

Her perfect morning? Watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee and taking in the start of a brand-new day.
