Autumn is fast approaching and it’s actually one of the best times of year to get plants in the ground as the summer heat has started to fade but the soil is still warm and usually has more moisture than the height of summer. Planting in autumn gives the plants a chance to settle in and have an excellent head start for next year.

Having a plan for next year and doing the work in autumn will make your garden flourish come spring next year.

The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.

We are actually in love with echinacea, our plant of the week and in particular this one, Echinacea “White Swan”.

✔️ Loves sun
✔️ Loves free draining soil
✔️ Drought tolerant
✔️ The bees love them

The echinacea plant is known for its immune boosting properties when used in teas or supplements.

These plants are native to the Rocky Mountains in the USA and they pair beautifully with wafty grasses to create prairie style planting.

This week in our Meet the team series we’d love for you to say hi to Michelle.

Here Michelle is our brilliant organiser and keeps everything in check from deliveries right through to customer enquiries.

Michelle, who hails from beautiful New Zealand originally, is also a very creative lady making beautiful hand crafted willow obelisks and plant supports as well as more decorative items for the home. She runs regular workshops, teaching people how to make plant support structures from willow

Michelle is very knowledgeable when it comes to plants, especially apple trees and she makes the most amazing scones!

Sometimes the plants just jump in the basket 🤷🏻‍♀️
