Edinburgh College is continuing to expand its PDVL partnership across Asia, with 13 new Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) signed with schools across Indonesia and Taiwan.

Following the success of our first Business pathway cohort in 2026, we’re also excited to launch a new Science pathway in 2027, creating even more opportunities for international students to prepare for higher education in Edinburgh.

We look forward to welcoming more students from across the world to Edinburgh College and continuing to grow our global partnerships.

We recently welcomed colleagues from colleges and organisations across Scotland to our Sighthill Campus to explore our brand-new electric heavy duty vehicle (eHDV) training rig.

The state-of-the-art rig gives students the chance to develop practical skills in a real-world environment, helping prepare the next generation of automotive engineers for Scotland’s transition to zero-emission transport. 🚗⚡

We’re delighted to announce that Edinburgh College’s Modern Languages Department Schools Programme has been shortlisted for the Digital Learning Award at the CDN Awards 2026.

Since moving our National Qualifications fully online in 2020, the programme has helped more than 200 students from 95 schools achieve a Higher or Advanced Higher in French, German, Italian or Spanish.

It’s fantastic to see the team’s work recognised and the positive impact the programme is having on access to language learning for school pupils across Scotland.

Congratulations to everyone involved, and best of luck at the awards ceremony in December! 👏

Edinburgh College is pleased to share the news of a new partnership set to create five skills training hubs across South East Scotland, supported by £25 million of UK Government funding.

The partnership brings together Edinburgh, Borders, Fife and West Lothian Colleges to help meet the region’s future skills needs, with plans to train more than 20,000 new entrants and upskill existing workers over the next decade.

The new hubs will support skills development for future careers in construction, housing, retrofit and the green economy.

Our Principal and CEO, Audrey Cumberford, said:

“This is a great example of colleges coming together and taking a proactive approach to meet the skills needs of the region that we serve.”
