All our families are invited along to the Dalry Primary School Parents and Carers Council AGM. The meeting will be held at 3.45pm on Wednesday 2nd September. This will follow the P1 info afternoon and we are looking forward to meeting those new to our Dalry family.

We impressed with our polo, now we want you to join us on the water! 🛶

We’re hosting Taster sessions at Picnic in the Park (part of the Edinburgh Canal Festival) on July 25th!

Come cool off in the canal with a 20-minute taster session on a paddleboard, kayak, or canoe.

Here is what you need to know:

▶️ Open to adults & kids (ages 8+)
➡️ First two 30-min morning slots are available for pre-booking!
➡️ All other slots are first-come, first-served via our team on the day.
➡️ Don't forget a towel and dry clothes just in case you go for an unexpected splash!

What an incredible day we had at the Canal Festival yesterday. Our PCC has a strong ethos of re-using and it was great to see how children (and adults) delighted in our second hand toy and book stall. On top of that we had sunshine, a mermaid, music and great chats about our local community.

Huge thanks to our volunteer helpers, and a shout out to Cllr Ross McKenzie, Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust and Craiglockhart Parent & Carer Council for all your support!

A note on the end of year from your Parents and Carers Council

The 2025-26 has been a huge year for our Dalry Primary School community, and the Parents and Carers Council would like to send a big thank you to all our families for your support- we appreciate everyone who came to a meeting, volunteered at our fundraising events and donated food (for our bake sales and our EID event) when the call went out.
This year the PCC have been involved in the recruitment of an Acting Head Teacher and the new Head Teacher, raised funds for our activities for our children: from a cinema snack for every child to supporting the P7 leavers event and more. We have also networked with other Parent Councils around the city - working together to make Edinburgh schools the best they can be for our children.

We have one more fundraising event- on tomorrow 20th June 11-4pm at the Fountainbridge Canalside Community Trust Canal Festival- do come along and say hello at our stall in the Leamington Lift Bridge Zone - we would love to see as many Dalry families there as possible enjoying the day.
