As The Ramones famously sang: "Hey, Ho, Let's Go!" The world is pretty much still at a standstill but we are slowly and surely seeing a return to a "new way of living." Learning however need never stop! I am still eager to tutor Modern Languages (German, French & Spanish) from Beginners level right through to Advanced level. I stated in a previous post that I am now willing to tutor for £5 p/h and will continue to do so until peoples financial circumstances become clearer and more secure. Furthermore, I am also willing to offer a free hour "taster" lesson for those interested. Qualifications and references from current & previous employers can be provided transparently on request. To EVERYONE out there! If you are eager to keep learning during these uncertain and unsettling times for education then I am here to offer my services. I am a fully qualified, GTCS registered Teacher in German, French & Spanish. I have a wealth of experience in teaching students of all ages, stages & abilities and am more than willing to teach people from Beginners level right through to Advanced level in all three languages. This will obviously have to be done "remotely" for the time being but can change when "lockdown" restrictions are eased in a safe and timely manner. I have resarched how much Tutors normally charge p/h. This can be between £25 - £30 p/h. I can fully appreciate and understand that these prices are unrealistic for the vast majority of people out there right now. I am therefore proposing a cost of £15 p/h for the foreseeable future until peoples financial circumstances are more stable. I am also more than willing to provide proof of my qualifications as well as references from previous employers which clarify in detail my skills, attributes and passion for teaching languages. If there is ANYONE on Facebook interested in learning German, French, Spanish or a combination of these languages then I would be more than delighted to take you on what might be your first tentative steps to success.

I have a strong past record in teaching and motivating learners of all ages, stages and abilities as I have been teaching since 2005 in a wide variety of High Schools throughout Scotland. I also work for an examination board and am acutely aware of what they are looking for from students who are sitting final examinations. Furthermore, I am also a published author of an academic textbook so have extensive subject knowledge.

Due to the unprecedented times we are living in right now and the logistical difficulties of me either travelling to your home or you coming to my home the only feasible option for the timebeing would be to do this by "distance learning." We could do this by using Skype, Zoom, Go Connect or whatever your preferred online means of communication is as long as you have access to a fast speed and stable Internet provider.

I have done a good bit of research into how much fully qualified teachers charge for tutoring. The current rate is between £25 - £30 per hour. I realise however this will be a totally unfeasible cost for people right now and for a good period of time to come. I am therefore proposing to tutor for £10 ph and am totally flexible if you want to book a lesson or lessons individually or do it on a "block booking" basis. If you are keen on "block booking" lessons then I am sure we can come to a financially beneficial agreement regarding a discount.

It has been scientifically proven that language learning reduces the likelihood of developing dementia in the latter years of life as well as other Mental Health issues. If anytime is the right time for someone to try and develop themself and share what they have learnt to close family, friends or ANYONE with an interest in self development then NOW IS THE TIME!

I am a GTCS fully registered MFL Teacher (German, French & Spanish) I have a wealth of experience in teaching all three languages as I have been teaching since 2005 and have taught in a number of schools throughout Scotland. I can confidently say that I can fully motivate learners of all ages, stages and abilities. I also have a wealth of experience working for the examination board in Scotland so I know what is expected of pupils/students when they have to sit final examinations. I look forward to working with you in the near future.
