CertAVP Registration 2015 Survey 03/07/2015

Changes to CertAVP registration at Edinburgh

Over the coming months, CertAVP registration will be integrated with the University of Edinburgh's student registration system. This will be in place for the new academic year in autumn 2015.

This will provide all our CertAVP candidates with the same support and resources as our matriculated students, including student email, IT support, and free attendance on a range of seminars.

While this transfer is taking place, our online payment system is closed for all modules with the exception of the Professional Skills course (separate from the A-FAVP assessment) and the synoptic assessments.

Please use this link (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/certavp_reg) to register your interest for the module(s) you wish to take at Edinburgh. We will contact you once the new student registration system is in place, or to arrange online payment for modules starting in August.

We are very grateful for your patience during the development of this aspect of the CertAVP programme.

New programme in development - MVetSci in Advanced Clinical Practice

We are considering developing an online distance learning postgraduate programme aimed specifically at veterinarians in practice with an interest in developing advanced clinical and research skills. The part-time, modular approach allows for the greatest flexibility. The goal is to provide the skills and knowledge required to be a highly effective practitioner, acting as leaders and mentors within the veterinary community.

The programme will have four research tracks, covering companion animals (dog and cat), exotic zoo and wildlife, equine, and production animal. Each track will contain a range of short medical and surgical courses appropriate to the species in question, e.g. cardiorespiratory medicine, endocrinology & metabolic diseases, gastroenterology & hepatology, dermatology, medical neurology, infectious diseases & toxicology, standard oncology, ophthalmology, haematology, nephrology & urology. Students will have the option to select courses from a specific track, or take a mixed practice approach with courses from multiple tracks, depending on their professional requirements and interest.

To register your interest in this programme, please fill our short survey, leaving your contact details if you wish to be kept informed of the programme as it develops.
