🛹RATHO: YOUR KIDS ARE ABOUT TO FIND THEIR NEW FAVOURITE THING

The SurfSkate Academy is landing at Ratho Community Centre, and we're kicking things off with the biggest discount we've ever offered, just for your local community.

Ages: P3–S1 (and they don’t need to buy any kit as we provide the boards and helmets).

What if they haven't been on a board before?
Every session is genuinely inclusive. No experience, no fitness level, and no background is a barrier. Seb has years of experience working with young people throughout Scotland, his passion for the sport is infectious and you'll be learning from a seasoned board pro!

What's in it for the kids?
Confidence, new skills, new friends, all on four wheels and all in 45 minutes.

Baby and Toddler group will be running again tomorrow morning! We will be on up to and including Tuesday 15th of December with the exception of Tuesday 13th of October when we will break for the school holidays.

🎉 YOUTH CLUBS 2026/27 REGISTRATION NIGHT 🎉

Parents, carers and young people are invited to attend our Youth Club Registration Night to secure a place for the upcoming year.

📅 Wednesday 2nd September 2026
🕡 6:30pm
📍 Ratho Community Centre

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Youth Clubs Available:
🔹 Monday Club – P1 & P2
🔹 Tuesday Club – P3 & P4
🔹 Junior Youth Club – P5 to S1
🔹 Senior Youth Club – S2+

To secure a place, a parent or guardian should attend Registration Night and complete the required registration paperwork. Places will be confirmed once forms have been completed and returned.

If your children attend more than one club, we recommend having an adult available to register each child to avoid disappointment.

• Each adult may only register children from one household.
• When clubs reach capacity, names will be added to a waiting list.
• Places cannot be reserved in advance.

Our clubs are run by experienced youth workers and offer a fun, welcoming environment with games, sports, arts and crafts, trips, activities and opportunities to make new friends.

⭐️ Ratho Baby and Toddler Group will be running again tomorrow, 10am-12pm at the Community Centre. It was lovely to see some new faces last week 😃

⭐️ Tomorrow we will have our brand new softplay equipment out as well as our full range of toys suitable for babies all the way up to pre-schoolers!

⭐️ All welcome, no booking required.

🌻🌼 What a fantastic day at the very first Ratho Village Horticultural Show! 🌼🌻

A huge thank you to everyone who entered, visited, judged, volunteered, baked, grew, crafted, and helped make our first show such a success.

We were amazed by the quality and variety of entries on display. From beautiful flowers and home-grown produce to baking, crafts, and photography, it was clear just how much talent we have within our village. Congratulations to all of our winners and rosette recipients – and to everyone who entered. It takes confidence to put your creations on display, and you all helped make the event something special.

📸 Here are just some of the fantastic entries from the day. The standard was incredibly high, and the judges certainly had some difficult decisions to make!

We hope this is just the beginning. Whether you're an experienced gardener, a keen baker, a budding photographer, or simply fancy having a go, we'd love to see even more entries next year. The show is about celebrating our village, sharing skills, and having fun together.

Thank you, Ratho, for supporting our first Horticultural Show. We can't wait to make next year's event even bigger and better!
