Well done to our fantastic student Eloise...winner of the BBC Young Writers award 2026 in association with University of Cambridge!

Her ‘heart wrenching’ story, 'Bloodshed in Rafah', about the reality of a childhood impacted by war won golden praise from the judges.

"...This year’s winning entry was a masterclass in storytelling: beautifully written, exploring difficult subject matter with maturity, compassion and truth. I speak for every judge when I say we were all left thinking about this story long after we’d read it. Congratulations Eloise - a true talent we should all keep our eye on for the future."

We're so proud of you Eloise!

As we begin a new school year, these images capture two important moments in a pupil’s journey: our Year 7 students taking their first steps into secondary school, and our Year 13 students beginning their final year with us as they take part in a retreat day at Selly Park .

From first-day excitement to final-year reflection, education is a journey of growth, friendship, discovery and opportunity.

Education Sunday gives us the chance to celebrate that journey—and the staff, families and wider community who support our young people along the way.

With a tradition dating back to 1848, Education Sunday reminds us of the lasting importance of education and the difference it can make throughout a lifetime.

Here’s to new beginnings, exciting milestones and every step in between.

World day for Grandparents and the elderly..."I will never forget you".

26/07/2026

Today, we celebrate the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly – a beautiful reminder from Pope Leo XIV that every person is loved, valued and remembered by God: “I will never forget you.” (Isaiah 49:15).

We are proud to nurture a community that values compassion, respect and service to others. Let us take this opportunity to honour the wisdom, faith and love that older generations share with us each day.
