Wow what a week we've had with the British Science Festival on campus all week, all of our students did a great job last Sunday talking to the public on community day - a well earned weekend coming up!

Just three days to go until community day (7th) and the last event for our placement students - a stand to showcase their work!

We hope everyone has a great weekend... we are certainly looking forward to our student presentations on Monday! It'll be a great opportunity for all our placement students to finally meet each other!

So we have confirmation our students will all be available to talk about their placements at the University of Birmingham Community Day on Sunday 7th September - we will be in the Great Hall stand 5 if anyone wants to come and join see us!

Wow the summer is going very fast! Most of our placement students are finished or finishing their time in the lab. We are looking forward to seeing their presentations on the 1st September!

Some of our students have finished their placement today - but we are looking forward to welcoming more next week!

So our first five students are on campus this week! They will all be meeting each other later today... a few have been spending the morning making conductive 'pins' to study the interaction between insect and plant using the electrical pe*******on graph technique!

Has anyone visited the University of Birmingham today for the UCAS fair? I've seen lots of students around campus, maybe someone who's applied for one of our placements has been on campus today?

It's taking a little longer than expected, there have been so many good applications for these placements! We are delighted with the response to this scheme. Hopefully everyone should find out if they have a placement by Monday!

We are now closed for new applications. We should be letting everyone know by the end of the week!

Wow what a response we've had for these placements, due to the amount of applications we have received we have increased the amount of students we will be taking, but we have also decided to close to new enquiries and applications from midday tomorrow. We hope to let everyone know by the end of the week.
