Swipe to declutter ✨

My clients goal was a two day project to clear her spare room so she could re carpet and order a bed for her mother to stay comfortably.

We put items in her loft that she wanted to keep but didn’t necessarily need everyday.

The rest was categorised in to keep, charity or throw in the skip!

It was great to see the end goal together and already the new carpet is in!

Tuesdays tip:

Organising in to groupings makes it easier to locate items, especially in the bathroom:
face
hair
dental
bath & body
travel

Depending on your space you could add more or even sub groupings!

Grab yourself some clear trays or boxes and start organising!

Sports bras 💪🏼

I used to keep wearing the same ones and kept forgetting about the ones at the back. I bought an organiser to solve this but it still looked messy.

Then I bought the one in the second picture and now I can see them all 🧚‍♂️

Tuesdays Tip:
Arts and crafts 🎨

These carts are handy to keep lose art and craft items in. Labelling will also help to keep everything in one place.

Go through your arts and crafts, bin anything that doesn’t work and organise in to categories.

1️⃣ A drawer
Choose one drawer - a single one that is small and manageable. Maybe the kitchen utensil drawer. Everyday utensils & cutlery in the front portion of the drawer, entertaining items at the back

2️⃣ Under the bathroom sink
Space underneath the sink is just as important as kitchen storage under the sink, it shouldn’t be ignored. It’s the best place for large bottles of hair products and lotions. Grab some deep inserts and label!

3️⃣ Play spaces
Start with the school supply drawer. Colouring essentials separated to paint, play doh, paper and arts & crafts

I’ve been a bit quiet recently - sorry! But the good news is I have had some work come through and so I have been making sure I have everything in place to start my organising business!

⏰ It saves you time - knowing where your things are means it’s quicker to find and put away.

💰 It saves you money - you may have to invest in some dividers or boxes at first but if you can see what things you have, you know you already have it and you don’t end up buying more!

🏠 Every home has a go to person who knows where everything is 🙋🏼‍♀️ but if everyone knows where these things live. They can all put things away!

🧠 It gives you closure - we assign emotional significance to belongings and you may not want to get rid of clothes that may not fit any more in the hope of a change in body shape. Or baby bits that you feel you want to give away but can’t pry in case of another. There are steps with a professional organiser that can be taken to deal with those feelings.

🧘🏼‍♀️It’s calming - how calm do you feel when everything is away with minimal clutter? Everything feels settled.
