The Weight of the Full Cup
Recognizing mental clutter and the illusion of constant productivity.
How often do we walk around with our mental cup filled right to the absolute brim? We carry our to-do lists, past conversations, future worries, and obligations, terrified that if we spill a single drop, we aren't doing enough.
In neuropsychology, we talk a lot about cognitive load—how our brains are constantly processing an invisible backlog of stimuli.
But what happens when the cup is so full there is literally no room left for clarity, peace, or genuine presence?
This week in My Empty Bowl, we are setting down the heavy ceramic and looking at what happens when we clear the vessel.
☕ Reflection for your Sunday: What is one mental burden you are carrying right now that doesn't actually belong to your agenda for this week?
Drop your thoughts below or just hold them quietly for yourself.
