MONSTER BALL 2026! 🎃👻🪩

Get ready for an evening of spooky fun, music, dancing and partying with your friends! 🎶💃🕺

This year’s Monster Ball is open to children in Years 1 & 2, Years 3 & 4 and Years 5 & 6. 🎉

Come along in your spookiest costume or favourite party outfit — fancy dress is completely optional! 👻✨

🎃 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YEARS 1 & 2:
Come along to school in your spookiest costume or favourite party outfit for the day, so when you finish school, you’re ready to get dancing straight away! 🪩

TICKET SALES OPEN:
📅 Monday 28th September at 9am
⏰ Sales close Friday 9th October at 2pm

⚠️ IMPORTANT TICKET INFORMATION:
🎟️ No ticket sales will be taken after Friday 9th October at 2pm.
🔄 Tickets are not to be swapped.
❌ If you need to cancel your ticket for any reason, cancellation requests must be made to the PTFA Friday 9th October at 2pm. After this time, no refunds will be issued.

🚪 DROP-OFF & PICK-UP:
📍 Drop-off: Main gate via the High Street.
📍 Pick-up: Double gates via Croft Lane.

We’d absolutely love to welcome our Reception children too, but from previous Monster Balls, we’ve found that our youngest children haven’t always enjoyed the evening as much as we’d hoped. 💛

But don’t worry, Reception — we haven’t forgotten you! We’ll be holding another exciting disco in the Spring Term, especially one that you’ll be invited to join! 🌸🪩

Get your dancing shoes ready… the Monster Ball is coming! 🎃🕷️

✏️ Happy to announce that we have funded another year of Letter-Join!

✨ But what is Letter-Join?

Letter-Join is a handwriting programme designed for all pupils, supporting children to develop their handwriting skills through structured, engaging activities. 📚

Our teachers have been using Letter-Join throughout the last year, and we have received some really positive feedback about the programme and the impact it has had on handwriting across the school. 📝

We’re delighted to continue using Letter-Join for another year and look forward to seeing our pupils continue to develop their handwriting skills! ✍🏼

Tonight we started our bonfire float project 🔥

We have a great team this year and I am SO grateful for the extra pairs of hands 🙏

We made a great start tonight, measuring up, painting and even the kids got involved!

If anyone wants to join our team, message me and I can add you to the bonfire WhatsApp group ⚡

We will be at the farm evenings and weekends, posting our availability every Sunday for the week 🗓️

Our first purchase of the year was a little memorable keepsake for our new Reception starters, a Worry Bear keyring, along with a little poem 🧸💛

We brought these last year and loved them so much that we decided to bring them back again for this year's Reception intake.

We hope these little bears help ease any worries the children may have about starting a new school over the next few weeks.
Although we know they are in the very best of hands, we hope having their little Worry Bear with them will give them some extra comfort and reassurance ⭐

Reception parents, these have now been handed over to Miss Dunn and Miss Todd and will be given out to the children on their first full day in Reception.

Wishing all of our new starters the happiest beginning to their school journey at Edenbridge Primary School 🌈🧸💛

We would also like to thank for supplying these for us for the second year running, her Etsy shop is full of the cutest little keepsakes, highly recommend Claire and her products ♥️

PRE-LOVED UNIFORM SALE ♥️

The school is holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Thursday 24th at 9am, and we’ve been asked to hold a second-hand uniform sale alongside it.

Unfortunately, Lucie, Mr Osborne and I will all be at work, so we won’t be able to run it.
Is there anyone here who would be willing to take this on please?

As always, all the money raised from the uniform sale will go towards all the fantastic things the PTFA funds throughout the year ⭐

We hope everyone has had a brilliant summer break and the little ones (and grown-ups! 😂) are rested, refreshed and ready to get back into the school-run swing!

And we’re kicking off the new school year with some VERY exciting news…

🔥 WE’RE ENTERING THE EDENBRIDGE BONFIRE PARADE! 🔥

On Saturday 7th November, we’ll be taking part in the famous Edenbridge Bonfire Parade, and we’re already busy behind the scenes getting everything ready! 🎉

After winning the People’s Choice Award last year, we’re hoping to make this year another one to remember! 🏆

⭐ WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We’re looking for support from local businesses to help us make this year’s entry the best it can be, in particular we are looking for a local scaffolding company who might be able to help us 🙏

👇 Here’s what we’re looking for:
- 2x4 timbers
- 5mm plywood
- 3mm plywood
- chicken wire
- dark grey and green paint
- exterior varnish
- heavy duty zip ties
- heavy duty L corner brackets
- wood screws
- sewage pipes
- 3mt length purple, blue, green, orange, yellow fabrics
- green fabric

🎟️ Our Summer Fair Raffle goes live this Saturday and will be open for two weeks!

The raffle will close at 2:30pm on Saturday 27th June, with winners being notified by email at 3pm.

We’ve been incredibly fortunate this year thanks to the generosity of so many local businesses and supporters. There are some fantastic prizes up for grabs, with over 60 fantastic prizes, don’t miss out on your chance to enter!

One for the brave adventurers (not me!)… 🐍🦎🐢

Company of Critters will be joining us with a selection of their reptiles, offering a completely unique experience to get up close and personal with some truly amazing critters!

Katy and her team are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about animal welfare, making this a fun, educational, and unforgettable experience for all ages.

So… who will be feeling brave enough to give one of the critters a cuddle?! 👀🐍💚
