Loved being back with the ladies of Eccleshall Women’s Institute last night to give a talk about my life and career in dance and Pilates. We then got moving with some chair seated Pilates, some livelier dance exercise and a bit of improvisation too.

Really looking forward to returning to teaching Pilates and dance classes from 3rd September. Still got some way to go with my rehab following my operation but ready to get back to it. Will be great to see lots of you in classes soon.

It is 8 weeks today since my Achilles reconstruction with FHL transfer surgery. 6 weeks non weight bearing in a cast/boot, 1 week weight bearing in a boot and then 1 week a mix of the boot and no boot learning to stand and walk again. It’s felt like forever and my arms are still sore from the crutches but I am heading in the right direction.
I have done some gentle Pilates most days to keep my thigh and hip strong but only on a bed or chair but today was the first time I made it onto a mat and more importantly back up again! Baby steps to recovery.
Missing seeing everyone at our normal classes

Update - all went well and I am recovering at home x

I am now taking a break from teaching to have my Achilles reconstruction surgery and focus on my recovery. Can’t wait to be exercising with you all again soon.

Suitable for people who have practiced Pilates to an intermediate level or are used to exercising for example running, cycling, keep fit etc.
I absolutely love teaching these occasional Saturday morning, challenging Pilates classes. We normally arrive a little tired and leave feeling awake, pleased with our achievements and ready to enjoy the weekend!
Places must be booked in advance so please get in touch if you want to join us.
