This week in Brynmawr, we are proud to be celebrating and promoting Children’s Mental Health Week. 💚

As part of our support, we have made lots of green ribbons to raise awareness and show our commitment to children’s mental health and wellbeing. The green ribbon is a symbol of support, understanding and the importance of talking about mental health.

Pupils are invited to collect a green ribbon from the foyer at break time today and wear it throughout the week to show their support. Let’s come together as a school community to promote positive mental health for all. 💚

Within ALN and wellbeing this week, we are proud to be promoting and celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week with a range of thoughtful activities and engaging work packs designed to support our learners’ wellbeing. 💛

Throughout the week, pupils will take part in activities that encourage them to explore their feelings, build resilience, and develop positive coping strategies. From creative tasks and reflective discussions to mindfulness activities and collaborative work, we are creating opportunities for every child to feel heard, valued, and supported.

Supporting mental health and wellbeing is at the heart of what we do, and we are proud to help our pupils understand the importance of looking after their minds as well as their bodies. 💚

Our pupils have been busy in Cookery this week and have thoroughly enjoyed getting hands-on with their learning! 👩‍🍳🍴

With fantastic support and guidance from our LSA, the children developed their food preparation skills, practised following recipes, and learned about kitchen safety and hygiene. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they worked together to create some delicious dishes.

Well done to everyone for your enthusiasm, teamwork, and fantastic effort! 👏✨
