Following the introduction of VTCT Skills' enhanced Early Years Educator assessment offer, apprentices now have the opportunity to choose between a Professional Discussion and a Child Case Study.

To support training providers, employers and apprentices in understanding these options, we've created a blog exploring the benefits of choosing a Child Case Study. The blog outlines how this approach can enable apprentices to demonstrate their skills through real-world practice while evidencing the impact of their work with children.

This resource can be used as part of initial Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) discussions, helping apprentices make informed decisions at the start of their programme about the assessment method that best aligns with their strengths and experiences.
