Cuddles and Care Welcome to Cuddles and Care Day Nursery LTD public page. We operate 2 settings based in Eastleigh,Hampshire.

Where we take pride in providing a nurturing and supportive environment for the little ones in our care. We have been open since June 2006 and provide flexible childcare for children between the ages of 3 months - 5 years. We are open Monday - Friday for 51 weeks of the year. We are shut on Bank Holidays and for one week at Christmas.

🌟 Our Special Visitors – Tom & Toby! 🌟

As part of our 5 Senses topic this month, we had a very special visit from Tom and Toby!

Tom came to nursery to talk to us about how much Toby helps him, as Tom lost his sight. We learnt all about the amazing ways Toby supports Tom in everyday life and helps him to explore the world around him.

Tom and Toby have been on lots of wonderful adventures together, and we loved hearing about some of their experiences!

To make our visit extra special, the children created pictures for Tom and Toby. We added lots of different textures to our artwork, including materials that Tom could explore by touch and feel with his hands.

This was a lovely opportunity for the children to think about how we can use our sense of touch to experience and explore things in different ways.

🌍 Our Topic of the Month – Around the World 🌍

During the month of July, our topic was “Around the World.” The children have had a fantastic time exploring different countries and learning about a variety of cultures through fun, hands-on experiences.

We enjoyed tasting foods from around the world, giving the children the opportunity to try new flavours and talk about where different foods come from.

A big thank you to Gemma for bringing in some beautiful Nigerian wedding guest outfits for the children to explore and try on. They loved dressing up and learning about traditional clothing from Nigeria.

The children also got creative by making African drum paintings and designing colourful Rangoli patterns inspired by Indian art and culture. We even had fun making food together, encouraging the children to explore different ingredients and cooking experiences.

We were delighted to welcome Lore from Fun Languages Southampton, who delivered a fun and interactive French session. The children enthusiastically joined in with songs, games, and simple French words and phrases, making language learning an enjoyable experience.

We also loved receiving a postcard from one of our children while they were away on holiday. It was wonderful to share their adventures with the group and talk about the place they had visited.

Another of our children had an exciting opportunity to visit the cockpit and meet the pilot while travelling on holiday. They were so excited to tell us all about their experience, which sparked lots of conversations about different ways to travel around the world.

It has been a wonderful month of exploring the world, celebrating different cultures, and encouraging curiosity about the people and places around us. We are so proud of how engaged the children have been and look forward to sharing many more exciting learning adventures together. 🌎

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful families for joining us at our Graduation today. 💛

We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of our children and everything they have achieved. It has been a privilege to watch them grow, learn, and flourish, and they will all be truly missed by everyone here.

We know they are all going to do amazingly well as they begin their next adventure at school. We wish them every success and can’t wait to hear about all the wonderful things they go on to achieve.

This morning we visited the sensory room with our preschoolers and toddlers, and we had such a wonderful time!

The children loved exploring all the different lights, textures, and sensory activities, with so many smiles, giggles, and excited little faces throughout the session 🌈🫧🎨 It was lovely to see everyone so curious, engaged, and having so much fun while learning through play.

Last week was Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

Please take a look at what the children have been up to throughout the week. We focused on wellbeing, kindness, mindfulness and supporting one another through a range of fun and meaningful activities.

As a staff team, we also took time to focus on our own wellbeing and the importance of looking after our mental health too.
