🌟 World Wellbeing Week has begun! 🌟
We are delighted to have started our celebrations for World Wellbeing Week across the school, which has given us all a chance to wind down and focus on the positives in this hot and sticky weather!
A key focus for our children this week is gratitude – a powerful practice that can uplift and inspire us, while also helping us feel grounded and connected through a strong sense of belonging.
To support this theme, our Gratitude Station is now open! Children can choose to send a message of thanks, kindness, or appreciation to anyone within our school community, whether a fellow pupil or a member of staff. These messages have already helped to spread a lovely sense of positivity and has put smiles on faces all around school!
Alongside this, children have been encouraged to share acts of kindness that they have either carried out themselves or experienced from others. These will be collected throughout the week, and next Tuesday we will weigh the box to demonstrate the collective "weight" and impact that kindness can have within our community.
Our children have also begun writing heartfelt letters home to family members and carers, expressing what they are most thankful for and what they love most about you. They are thoroughly enjoying writing these and have been incredibly excited to share them, so please keep an eye on school bags over the coming days!
There is much more to look forward to this week, including opportunities for children to reflect on what they are proud of themselves for (along with the opportunity to bring these home to share with you), our Dress to Express Day on Friday in aid of fundraising for Solent Mind, and many other wellbeing-focused activities!
We have also loved reading the small wins being shared within our parent/carer community and have been particularly touched by them, especially during the recent period of extreme heat and challenging weather conditions - so thank you for sharing and please feel free to keep them coming! https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=MmlsspbR-EqVW3q1XsI3vueczp7QhhhJhtc9Uoq14u9UNlk5RFBaOVU1Vkw0MDlQQlBOWDhGMzVUMy4u&route=shorturl
Remember to take extra care of yourselves this week, and keep an eye on our page for more updates and celebrations as World Wellbeing Week continues!
