The 5 things that got me to my 6-figure salary are:
1️⃣. Belief - doing the mindset work and learning to believe in myself was the no.1 thing that helped me progress in my career.
It helped me even when times were tough, jobs were challenging and my life was pants. 👎
It is also an ongoing process. I still work on my mindset now, as no matter how successful you are, those pesky gremlins keep turning up and they keep needing to be put in their place.
2️⃣. Clarity - getting really clear on what I wanted to do and what I wanted to achieve helped me take the right action at the right time.👀
Also, an ongoing process, as life changes, passions change and needs change. So don't be worried about changing direction.
3️⃣. Being brave - great opportunities rarely land in your lap. I have gone looking for them, and I have had terrifying conversations with people to put myself forward. I have made decisions that have scared me and applied for jobs I wasn't sure I could do, but these are the actions that make a big difference.😱
4️⃣ Investment - I have invested in myself. I know what I am worth and what I am capable of but sometimes I need help to unlock my potential.
I have spent thousands of £££'s and hours on my own development. I have done courses, read books, had coaches, and implemented the learnings.
Not all of it was good, but some of it was amazing and it all moved me forward. Having someone to learn from is the most effective way to become more successful in less time.
5️⃣. Fun - if you enjoy something generally you are better at it, and if you get better at it, you enjoy it more.
I have made sure that I enjoy my jobs. I have created working environments to have fun in, places that are full of laughter and compassion. This has resulted in high-performing teams.
I have also made sure that there is fun and adventure in my life, and that it's not all about work.💃
Which of these 5 things are you not doing?
