A few pictures from the last couple of weeks.
What a great turnout for our Fathers day afternoon tea. We had such a lovely time and have had so many positive comments about it.
Thank you to all who came.👨

We have enjoyed sharing the interesting facts that the children have found out about the country they picked from our world cup sweepstake.🌍⚽️

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Badger for hosting a fundraiser for us last weekend.🦡
The committee worked extremely hard to make it a success.
Thank you to Mark and Heather and of course Amy for thinking about us.

The children were really engaged with our STEM week. Asking what experiment would be next?🥼🧪
The children used pipettes filled with vinegar to make the volcano erupt. Strengthening fingers, using the language of hot, lava, explodes and flows.🌋
The skittles rainbow prompted conversation of cause and effect.🌈
Why didn't they all flow the same direction?
The plates weren't flat. Which caused one to flow out, whilst the other flowed to the centre. We talked about the colours and how they made different colours as they mixed together.
We made bubble foam ice creams and enjoyed stretching the cloud dough, describing the texture.☁️

Our story of Jack and the Beanstalk raised some questions.
Should Jack have left his house to climb a beanstalk on his own?
Do you take things that aren't yours? (Even from a giant) hmmm! 🤔

We built beanstalks using duplo, putting the blocks in number order upto 10.🫘
Matching number to quantity using seeds.
Ordering beanstalks in size order, using language of big, small and medium.🌱
Our allotment has lots of pollinators growing, which the bees are loving ❤️
The beans and sunflowers we planted have begun to sprout too.🌻

We were really lucky to have Steve, one of our Dads join us for a singalong and storytime.🎶 The children were really attentive, joining in with the singing and listening carefully to the stories.🎸
Thank you Steve

Reminder we return on Tuesday this week.
