We love to sing! From circle time, to tidy up time and hand washing we have a song for every occasion 🎶

“𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘧 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘯 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘳𝘩𝘺𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘣𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘭𝘥, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘶𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵.” Fox, 2001.

Nursery rhymes are so much more than songs we remember from childhood! From building vocabulary and early literacy skills to developing confidence, imagination and mathematical understanding, singing and reciting rhymes has a valuable place in Early Years learning.

What’s your favourite nursery rhyme to share with the children?

Thank you to Maeva and Koby for such a thoughtful leaving gift 💜
