Today at playgroup we enjoyed painting, building towers, playing with the tea set and exploring the Easter tray. We all loved making our own Easter crowns and gratefully received a little Easter treat. What better way to finish for the Easter Holiday 🐣 🥚 🐰 🍫

This morning we made some chocolate play dough as we spoke about Easter and receiving chocolate eggs. This was a great activity to use our senses and supported our learning as we:
•Listened to instructions
•Took turns
•Measured ingredients
•Learnt new words such as measure, knead and cocoa powder
•Used our fine motor skills as we mixed the ingredients, kneaded the dough and used the tools
•Observed changes as we added ingredients. One child noted it looked like coffee when we added the water
•Found out about celebrations and traditions
•Used our imagination to make our own creations
