🌳🌳So what have we been up to?
Although we are now employed in schools most of the week, we do still offer family sessions in the grounds of Herstmonceux Castle.
We have a new site , with a fab climbing tree including a dense copse for exploring and grass for games. Lucky us 🌳🌳

What a lovely day offering outdoor learning with a forest school ethos to year 4.
We made pizzas, den built, whittled to make charcoal, then chocolate orange cakes, a swing, mini willow fences and hapa zome.🌳🔥

The RSPB big birdwatch is this weekend. The weather hasn’t been to great and very few birds have visited. So how about seeing if you can name these?

My lovely outdoor classroom today the sun shone and the kids persevered and were resilient in their learning.💚🌳

Let the children speak. Let them think. Let them wonder.⁣

Sometimes you might have to be a bit silent. Don’t ask too many questions. But, don’t ignore. ⁣
⁣
It’s a balance and you will know what feels right when you feel the wonder take over!

Another flat out but fantastic week for me. In my new role in a school I’ve seen 240 children and my regular school another 60 ,then after school club at The Priory another 11.
Phew! 🌳🔥

First day back in a school today- year 6 remembered so much fire safety and learned how to risk assess.
