CTTC welcomed Aruna of Arunatherapy to share her knowledge of the traditional Indian practices of Ayurveda at our local support meeting for the Federation of Holistic Therapists. We discussed massage, working the marma points, use of a Kansa wand, oils and whether we might lean towards a vata, pitta or kapha constitution. Therapists achieved 2 CPD points to contribute to their ongoing professional development.

FHT held their local meeting on Wednesday 6th May 2026 at CTTC with a Neal’s Yard Remedies Party with Bev Collison, Neal’s Yard Consultant. Attendees had the opportunity to test and try a wide variety of Neal’s Yard products. We discussed product use for our own personal care and how we could incorporate them into our professional treatments, including aromatherapy, facials, pedicures, manicures, massage and reflexology. We also discussed treating menopausal clients with Neal’s Yard products such as the Frankincense range, women’s balance and the essential oily clary sage. Special prices and discounts were received and the possibility of becoming a Neal’s Yard consultant was discussed. Attendees earned 2 CPD points, supporting their ongoing professional development. We enjoyed cookies and herbal teas.
