Well done to Martha for achieving her VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology. Martha worked hard juggling a family, work, Degree and Reflexology course along with a few life challenges. Congratulations to the lovely Melanie in completing your Level 3 Award in Crystal Therapy. You have embraced the use of crystals and have inspired us with your ideas. Excellent attention to detail, well done. Melanie will be providing mobile treatments to include crystal therapy and Indian head massages in the Hailsham, Eastbourne and surrounding areas. On Wednesday the 9th September we held our the FHT monthly meeting. Our Guest speaker was Jeannie Widdows, who stepped in to talk about working the rotator cuff. The session reinforced our knowledge of anatomy and physiology, expanded our range of massage techniques and aftercare which included exercises to support the rotator cuff. Jeannie performed a guided demonstration which allowed us to gain 2 CPD points to support ongoing professional development. A lovely evening was enjoyed with fennel tea and blueberry muffins.

A competent level 3 trained Indian head massage therapist with a certificate in an accredited course will have performed a number of massage treatments on a range of clients, covering a variety of health concerns, they will have competently performed at least 3 practical assessments, one of which will have been checked for quality, research projects will have been undertaken in health & safety, histories and theories, along with passing two exams including anatomy and physiology knowledge. They will be able to perform a range of skills and techniques to suit your needs including chakra work and marma points, the course will normally have been run over 6 months with continued competency.
