I am running one last online course starting 01/03. I know - that is Wednesday but you can sign up late! The course comprises lots of short videos together with zoom tutorials every couple of weeks or so. The videos get released weekly and continue for around 12 weeks. You then have another 3 months to still catch up with the videos.
So many people have enjoyed this course and loved what it has done for their work. If you have always fancied doing it - now is your last chance! I am retiring it after this year.

I am so looking forward to hosting this course but we do need a couple more enrolments. Please don’t leave it too late to book as Jennifer has to travel so I don’t like to cancel courses too late.

There are 3 great short courses running in the studio this year. If you fancy a working holiday by the sea these offer the opportunity of lots of learning, great lunches, lovely studio environment which is only a couple of minutes from the beach, fantastic teachers, new friends, what more could you want?
Eastbourne is a lovely destination for a short course with plenty of accommodation to suit all budgets, all within walking distance of the centrally based studio.

I already have several registrations on the Zoom Creative Intent class beginning in January but there are still some spaces. This monthly Monday morning class will be a supportive mentoring group limited to a group size of 8 so the discussion doesn’t go on all morning - just 1 hour or hour and a half.
I really love working with these groups and take great care that this is a safe space to show work but get constructive suggestions about how to take work forward.
Putting this type of course on to Zoom also offers people from all over access to this type of group and the opportunity to work with me without having to travel and pay for accommodation.
If you haven’t worked with me before and feel uncertain about joining in to this type of group, I will make sure to have a 1-2-1 zoom with you first.

I am offering a new day (Monday) starting in January for Zoom Creative Intent course. This is a cross between mentoring and peer support group. Students on my Friday group are thoroughly enjoying the monthly contact with others and the range of projects is amazing.
The commitment is once a month for an hour - hour and half depending on how many people pose questions and share work. You don’t have to share every month if you are busy or feeling low - you can simply be inspired and supported by everyone in the group.

Lots of lovely things went on in the studio this week. Some breakdown - the weather was perfect - some sketchbook - needle-nosed drawing - weaving - transfer print - flour paste screen - collage - poetry of stitch. Not all photographed 😂🤪
All things done by people working independently but with support and guidance and conversations with me and their peer group. I love this type of problem solving teaching.
Spaces still available on Mondays Once a Month from September.

Looking forward to having Stewart teach this lovely course at the studio. Link in bio.

Posted • I have been invited by to facilitate a creative five-day course during November this year at .

This will be an experimental course which will focus on exploring materials, thinking through making and reflecting on individual learning. Therefore, the course must not be seen as an entire experience where you will complete a project, rather you will conclude with new ideas, possibilities, and an enhanced toolkit for your own personal development.

Drawing upon the natural coastal environment as inspiration, you will combine drawing, collage, cloth, and stitch to explore how creative ideas can evolve organically and how reflective practice can lead to self-discovery. After completing the course, you can use the research you generate to inform your own projects.

You will be encouraged to work independently, respond to different themes, and share ideas with your peers throughout the course. Therefore, I would encourage you to come with an open mind, willing to try different activities, and of course enjoy yourselves!

The course details and booking information is available at www.studio11eb.co.uk.
