Jenny Wren Nursery School We are a small Christian Nursery School based in the Emmanuel Church

If you have a child starting school in September 2024, we still have some nursery spaces. We will be locating to our new premises over the summer holidays so we look forward to welcoming you onto our new premises on Upperton Road this September.

We still have some places for 3-4 year olds to start in September at Jenny Wren Nursery School. We will be operating from our new premises on Upperton Road. Please contact us if you are interested for either a September or January start. There’s a waiting list for an April start. We offer sessions Monday to Friday, term time only. From 8.30am or 9am to 12noon or 14.00. Please share this post. Thank you 😊

Exactly what we teach our children at JW. And this week we have witnessed how caring and respectful they have been towards these little creatures. A quote from a child this week who saw a snail on the grass .. she rushed over and said “I’m going to put him in the bushes so no one treads on him and so animals don’t eat him!”

The children have enjoyed exploratory sensory play this week. Lots of skills practised - pouring, mixing, stirring, whisking. They have used a variety of containers - measuring jugs, pots, teapots, bowls, cups and cooking implements - whisks, tongs, wooden spoons, ladles to transfer liquids from one container to another. Great for strengthening hand eye coordination and lots of lovely language. Lavendar & peppermint were also included to stimulate the senses.
