SECAMB have published their Cardiac Arrest report from April 21 to March 22 - they're continuing to urge people to learn CPR. Did you know that 50% of Cardiac Arrests happen in front of a bystander?

CPR is a simple skill that can be learnt through a one day First Aid course - even if you don't fancy doing a day of First Aid, we urge you to spend 5 minutes watching videos on your phone so you have an idea on what to do if the worst happens.

Out of hospital Cardiac Arrest survival in the South East was 11%, the highest on record but still far short of the leading countries where First Aid and CPR is taught at school.

If you've got any questions about CPR or want some free advice on where to learn it/ways you can improve then please don't hesitate to contact us.

Trust publishes cardiac arrest report and urges public to learn to save a life With more than three-quarters of all resuscitations attempts by South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) crews taking place in the home, this February Heart Month, people are being asked if they would be willing and able to perform CPR on a loved one.

Brighton Beach is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike, especially during the summer months. The city boasts a beautiful beach, which draws in thousands of visitors every year. However, the safety of beachgoers can be at risk without the proper precautions in place. That's why it's crucial for Brighton to maintain its beach lifeguard service.

Firstly, the role of lifeguards on the beach cannot be understated. They are responsible for ensuring the safety of beachgoers, monitoring the water conditions, and providing assistance to those in need. Without their presence, the risk of drowning, water-related accidents, and other emergencies increases significantly.

Furthermore, Brighton is known for its unpredictable weather, the sea can become rough and dangerous without warning. In such conditions, the presence of trained lifeguards is critical, as they can recognise the signs of danger and respond quickly and effectively to prevent any accidents from occurring.

Moreover, the beach attracts people of all ages and abilities, including children, the elderly, and those with disabilities. Having lifeguards on duty ensures that everyone can enjoy the beach safely, regardless of their individual circumstances.

Additionally, the beach lifeguard service plays a vital role in supporting the local economy. Brighton's beach is a significant tourist attraction, and the safety of visitors is crucial for maintaining the city's reputation as a safe and enjoyable destination.
