I have been teaching English for over 30 years in Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Japan and the United Kingdom. I started One World Learning in 2020 during the worst of the pandemic. We teach classes to adults and children, and you will have your own private online folder where all your class materials are kept and updated. You will have your own coursebook and all the lessons are recorded on mp4 so that you can review your classes on any device.
Adult classes are 90 minutes and include:
General English. One World Learning uses Speakout Active Teach Coursebooks which are digital versions of the classroom books and are fully interactive. The award-winning course invites the student to discover English as it is really spoken. The course builds up all the skills and knowledge you need to express yourself confidently in a real English-speaking environment. The course includes BBC content and additional podcasts. You will receive a copy of the coursebook which can be viewed on a PC or device. All listening and video tasks will be loaded into your student folder for you to review.
Grammar. Grammar is taught at all levels and can be the main focus of your course if you need the extra practice.
Exam classes. We prepare students for examinations with classes aimed at developing the necessary skills needed to pass your exam. We cover most of the main exams and especially the Cambridge exams for adults, schools and pre-school.
Company classes. Our Company classes are aimed at developing the skills you need for your work as well as improving written and spoken English. Company and Private Group lessons are available if you want to study with friends or colleagues. These classes are great if you want to form an English-Speaking Club or to practise areas of English that interest your group.
Young Learner classes are 60 minutes and include:
Our Young Learner classes are available to pre-school children and children up to fourteen or so. General English aimed at developing Reading, Writing, Pronunciation, Listening and Grammar. One World Learning use the interactive Cambridge Primary Path series and interactive Oxford’s Let’s Go series.
We also hold exam preparation classes for children taking the Cambridge exams for schools and test preparation for the Cambridge tests for very young learners. These tests are great for children to experience the exam format without the pressure.

We went on a winter walk today to Mount Caburn. The air was clean and we enjoyed beautiful panoramic views.

This was the first walk of the year. We will soon be trying the Seven Sisters Challenge: 14 Km!
