INFLATABLE DAY WAS A BLAST!

What an incredible way to celebrate our students! To earn a spot on the giant inflatable today, students from all year groups had to smash their goal. From maintaining high attendance and racking up CARE points to stepping up for Mentor Challenges! 🏆

Taking on the obstacle course was a huge reward for all the hard work, positive attitudes, and dedication shown across the school this term. We are so proud of everyone who earned their ticket to the fun. You absolutely crushed it! 🏰💥

🌟YEAR 7 END-OF-TERM RAFFLE!🌟

What an incredible term for our Year 7s! To celebrate all their hard work, we held a special End-of-Term Raffle and the energy was amazing!

Throughout the term, students earned raffle tickets by getting nominated by their teachers for showing outstanding effort, kindness, and dedication in lessons.

A massive congratulations to all our lucky prize winners, and a huge well done to every single Year 7 student who earned a ticket. You’ve set the bar high! Have a fantastic break, everyone! 🥳✨

The Eastbourne Academy will be closing at 1:00pm on the last day of term, Friday, 24th July.

On this day, students will attend lessons during periods 1 to 3, have a short mentor time, and then be dismissed at 1pm. Students will be able to purchase food from the canteen during break 1.

Well done to the Year 8 Cricket Team who won the partnership tournament at The Saffrons. The boys showed great teamwork and excellence throughout. Well done Team! 🏏🏆

Eastbourne RFC is delighted to host a Harlequins Rugby Camp on 10–11 August 2026, giving young players the chance to learn from one of the country’s leading professional rugby clubs.

The 2 day camp is £105 per child, open to boys and girls aged 6-14. The camps are designed for players of all abilities – from complete beginners to experienced club players. Harlequins’ qualified community coaches deliver fun, engaging sessions focused on developing core rugby skills, confidence and teamwork in a safe and inclusive environment.

Throughout the camp, players will work on key aspects of the game including:
• Attack and defence principles
• Handling and passing skills
• Offloads and breakdown techniques
• Rugby-based games and challenges
• Teamwork and decision-making skills

Each day runs from 9:15am to 3:15pm, with a mixture of coaching sessions, games and breaks. Players should bring a packed lunch, refillable water bottle and suitable rugby kit, including boots and trainers.

Harlequins’ community programmes are built around creating a fun, safe and welcoming environment where young people can develop their rugby skills.

Young Chef of the Year Final 🌟

On Tuesday 23rd June, our talented students competed against five other schools in the Young Chef of the Year final. Incredible teamwork, brilliant skills, and seriously impressive dishes from start to finish.

Max and Natan were amazing runners-up in the Year 7 and 8 category with their orange chicken and rice, followed by an apple pie. They worked incredibly well as a team.🍊🍚

Representing Year 9, Daisy and Mya secured an impressive second place with their menu of homemade tagliatelle with chicken and tomato sauce, followed by a fruit-filled tart. The head judge said there was only 1 point between them and the winners! They won an afternoon tea each at different Eastbourne hotels. 🍝🥧
