Bede's Prep

Saturday 27 June was a day of celebration, marking both our annual Prize Giving and the final day for our Year 8 pupils at Bede’s Prep School.

Attendees were treated to wonderful performances by our accomplished musicians and dancers, featuring a brilliant solo by Year 8 pupil, Lolly. Our Heads of School, Alfie and Amelia, also took to the stage to deliver moving speeches about their journeys at Bede’s.

The day concluded on a high note, with families gathering on the Lawn to enjoy a light lunch and refreshments ahead of a well-deserved summer break.

Our Year 6 pupils recently traded the classroom for a brick-tastic day out at Legoland! 🎢🧱

The morning kicked off with a hands-on "Science of Rollercoasters" workshop, where our young engineers wowed us with creative designs and impressive teamwork. Afterwards, the pupils put physics into action - testing out the park’s rides to investigate gravity, momentum, and G-force firsthand!

Our Years 3 and 4 residential trip to Bushy Wood was an unforgettable success!

From setting up camp beds and team games to an adventurous night-time torch walk and campfire marshmallows, the excitement never stopped. A highlight was the trip to Princes Park Lake for windsurfing and sailing with Buzz Active - our pupils showed incredible courage, teamwork and support for one another! ⛵

Back at camp, the children enjoyed woodland crafts and delicious food. We are so proud of their independence, community spirit and fantastic behaviour throughout. What an amazing adventure!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Sadie and her team are officially World Champions, taking 1st and 2nd place in their section at the Dance World Cup in Dublin!

What an incredible achievement on the global stage - we are so incredibly proud. Good luck Sadie in your next dances later this week.

After a postponement due to rain, the sun shone down on us for an absolutely scorching, action-packed day of track and field events at Sports Day!

We are incredibly proud of every single one of our pupils, who gave it their all, demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship and cheered each other on from start to finish. From determination on the track to spectacular efforts in the field, the energy and enjoyment across the whole school was simply brilliant.

A huge well done to our wonderful Pre-Prep pupils for putting on such a lovely Father’s Day Assembly last Friday! It was the perfect way to celebrate all the amazing dads, grandads, uncles and family friends in our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the assembly and the special morning celebrations, we hope you enjoyed the surprises our pupils had for you!

Last week, our Pre-Prep athletes brought so much energy, determination and joy to the Astro. From showing off their skills in the speed bounce and javelin, to demonstrating incredible focus in the classic egg & spoon race, the children did absolutely brilliantly!

Of course, the day wouldn’t have been complete without the fiercely contested parents' race - thank you to everyone who stepped up to the starting line and brought the competitive spirit!
