Pirate week has arrived 🏴‍☠️ yo ho ho.
We’re in our final week and learning all about pirates. We will be dressing up as pirates we will be reading a swashbuckling story called Don’t disturb the pirate! We will be practicing pirate pencil control, squawking like parrots, making junk modelling pirate ships. Will they float or sink ? ‘Watch out it’s a cannonball’. We will be playing with the pirate tuff tray, and looking at patterns and colours and using objects to make up a pattern and repeat the patterns. Also play with the pirate boats on the seven sea’s walking the plank and climbing the rigging. Making a treasure map. Also ending our year with a pirate party. 🏴‍☠️ ‘watch out captain and his motley crew are about.’

🪼🌊🦀 UNDER THE SEA 🦀🌊🪼
This week at sare-sares we have learnt all about what lives under the sea! The children have had so much fun playing with water, doing sea themed jigsaw puzzles, and reading lovely books set in the sea! We have also focused on making patterns using colour blocks and practicing our cutting skills whilst under the sea creatures!
What a wonderful week we’ve had 🐚🐙🐠

This week is sports week. We will be learning about Mo Farah and Keely Hodgkinson. We will be looking at what sports we know and like, learning about keeping healthy and active.
We will also be learning about our morning routines, practicing our good morning song and looking at times of the day.
The letter of the week is i.
Our role play will be putting into practice all that we have learnt over the last few weeks about bugs. We have set the children a bug hotel to play with. 🐞🐛🦟🪲🪳🐜🕷️

It’s Inventors week! We’ve loved junk modelling our new inventions. There have been rockets, castles and creatures 🏰🚀🦖 We have also loved learning about musical instruments. The kiddies have been playing different instruments whilst singing along to our favourite nursery rhymes. 🎶🪇 Our book of the week was “The big time boogie-woogie animal band”!

We decorated butterflies and used blocks to measure how tall we are! This week we are learning about measuring height and lengths and comparing masses of objects. ⚖️📏🦋

We enjoyed getting ready for Father’s Day planting sunflowers, decorating cards and self portraits of their daddies! We also learnt all about life cycles of plants and about the minibeast we find in the garden. 🌺🪱🪲

This week we are looking at farm animals, we have had great fun playing farmers, and making a farmers market up. We have played farm dominos, made lots of farm jigsaws, read lots of farm stories, and played farm what’s in the box. The children have really enjoyed singing and dancing and having lots of fun. 🐷🐓🌾

We have been learning about May Day, making flower bracelets and Maypole dancing. We’ve also been having fun in the sand playing with the construction toys and learning some positional language using the teddy. We have continued role play in the florists and learnt about flowers and how they grow. We have painted some tulips and labeled the parts. We noted that flowers need sunlight and water to grow. We have also used the chalks to decorate the patio in flowers. 🌷

This week we have been learning about earth week. We have been having fun as astronauts, looking at the solar system and loved pretending to be on a rocket to the moon. The children have been singing zoom zoom zoom on repeat! We have learned and read about some famous astronauts and looked at pictures of them.
We have also been playing florists in our role play area. The children have decorated flowers to take home. 🌸
